JORR the thing you don't understand is, like Rick said, LBJ choosing a different team would have definitely influenced our opinion of him. Did people want him to come to the Bulls? Hell yeah, we all did. So quit spouting that bullshit. The Bulls had assembled an actual basketball team around him and it would have been his team. His choosing to play second fiddle in going to Miami changes everything. Do I still wish he was on the Bulls? Of course I do but at this point his decision has revealed everything about him professionally and personally

That's exactly what I'm saying, Bagels. You're not talking about basketball at all. You're talking about your perception that the Heat aren't "his team". And you haven't even seen them play a single game. Personally, I don't believe in assigning a team to a single player. Jordan won all his titles with another Top 50 player right next to him.

The fact that he seems uninterested in being the GOAT is dissapointing.

I wish you'd quit this board

Given that Lebron has been so quick to defer to subpar players in the fourth quarter, even though he's proven that he has the talent to dominate, it's likely he'll defer to a player like Wade.

Carlos Boozer doesn't belong in a conversation with LeBron, Wade, or Rose. I know you know that. Why don't we let them play before we decide whose team it is?

That's the worst part of all of this. I had him in line to be the best to ever play. That wont happen know. He made sure of that...

Wade County
Wade being in the middle of the Bosh and James at their big party/celebration
Wade having already won a title with said team

It's Wade's team

It seems like a lot of you did. But instead of telling me I'm "embarrassing myself", maybe you should reconsider how good your basketball opinions are if a free agent signing and a birthday party have caused you to change one of them so drastically.

It seems like it will be Wade's team.

I agree with JORR, gotta see how it plays out.

What if Wade broke his leg and LeBron and Bosh still won a title, who's team is it then?

Was it Magic or Kareem's team?

Bosh is clearly James Worthy

No, we changed them when he quit. That's been said repeatedly but you're too dense to comprehend it.

Um, I'm pretty sure I didn't say anything like that (embarrassing yourself). But feel free to lump me in the group if you like. I think LeBron has the skill set to be the greatest ever. I don't think it is diminished by his night in Vegas. I think it was diminished by his choice to join Wade and Bosh in Miami. All of the other stuff (Immaturity, shady business, etc.) just doesn't help. My interest in the story has more to do with ESPN's desire to protect him, which is just bad journalism....

Thats not a good comparison.

My point is, its not like its Branded Wade's team forever because he won a title before or he was there first.

If LeBron is clearly the best player, and starts taking the last shots, its gonna be his team.

I disagree...Wade won a title with them..he has the legacy...it's his team regardless if they win a title this year and James is the main contributor

My quitting is on a sliding scale?

JOE JOHNSON. JOE JOHNSON. JOE JOHNSON.

Dont make me bring out those stats for a supposedly "Max" guy.

Thanks for the sonnet. I enjoy your emo-like poetry.

Oh and stay away from analogies when debating someone. They make you look ignorant, and in most cases the analogy is unquantifiable as well.

Yet you wanted him on the Bulls. So he could quit there? Or so he could be a piece on Rose's team? Come on, man. You're angry he went to Miami. It's okay to admit it. Actually you already have:

Is it going to Miami that changes everything or quitting that changes everything? Funny how I'm the guy that's supposed to be embarrassed!

Unfortunately you're the one with the analogies that don't make sense. Joe Johnson didn't quit, he had a very poor series. I've conceded that repeatedly. What he didn't do- as leader of the team- was stand around listless and disinterested while others were forced to make the plays. That's what James did. Joe shot and shot poorly, but at leas the made an effort. Please learn how to tell the difference.

It may be Wade's team locally, but LBJ is the best player on that team. That's not even debatable. Just cus Wade has been in that market and rode the Shaq express to a title doesnt mean he's better than Lebron. When Lebron became the defender he is the last 2 years, that separated him IMO.

How the fuck do you know what Joe Johnson did during that series? Every game was on NBA TV. Quit bullshitting. You dont get booed by your fans cus your effort was there and you played poorly. Please.

This feels like talking to a brick wall

No, fans in general don't really care about your effort, they care about the results. Joe sucked that series. Blew. Chokes. I've conceded all of that. I wasn't happy about it as a Hawks fan. The point is he continued to shoot, to be involved...you know...TRY??? Not stand out on the wing near halfcourt disinterested.

And what the fuck does the games being on NBA TV have to do with anything?

Yes. Every game was on NBA TV. Also, I guarentee you Bagels watched every game. I even watched game 7, it was on TNT. He didnt quit. He had a terrible shooting night and he fouled out. Players who quit dont usually defend enough to get 6 fouls.

Oh yeah that's right. Wade was better than Shaq. Especially with the corrupt officiating crew that sent Wade to the line more than 30 times one game. I think my truth is pretty on point.

Game 7? The series was 4 games long. To me, it's the same thing. You didnt give the fans what they payed for. Sure both could be booed. It just doesnt bother me. Joe Johnson was outplayed by fucking Jamal Crawford. Lebron still outplayed everyone in that series.

For the last time:

Playing like shit does not equal quitting.

Dominating the game for 95% of it and making zero effort for the other 5% can equal quitting.

I value the overall product. To be a constant minimalist about everything is gonna make some of you cats have a brain injury.

So you guys would rather have your star player not show up statistically for an entire playoff series rather than dominate 95% of it? That is the flimsy, half baked psychobabble you've all conjured up to prolong the Lebron disenfranchisement? Thank God I dont view things so small.

Just as an analogy JBills, I work in manufacturing and specifically quality. I guess when my customers call to complain about a particular part, I should tell them that 95% of our parts are good and that they shouldn't be so short-sighted
