There is no shortage of stupidity over the airwaves.

However, it seems some people are able to get away with it better than others.

Last week on Dan Patrick's radio show, ESPN analyst Michael Irvin jokingly suggested the success of Dallas quarterback Tony Romo could be due to an African-American heritage.

They probably welcome the controversy. Any network that is so devoid of values that would hire a cocaine felon for a national broadcasting gig in the first place isn't going to fire him for racist remarks. Irvin is part of ESPN's strategy to attract the criminal demographic.

Not only did they hire him with a record, he's been in trouble since then and they kept him on.

I turn the station whenever Irvin shows his head on TV or whenever I hear his voice. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. He's a complete waste of my time. I imagine you can say that to ESPN and they don't believe it. They think hating him is like hating Howard Stern. But its not. Irvin isn't the least bit entertaining and I don't have the least inclination to stick around just to hear what he'll say.

I don't think people are that much different from me in that they really turn him off.
