Demons temporarily possessed my soul and made me actually go to the Monsters page on the CBS2 website. I see that Mike is not only still making bets and presumably posting phony win totals (just like dontfademe.com), but he's also using the CBS site to advertise that property he's trying to unload. I find it a little odd that he's using his employer's website to conduct his personal real estate business, but hey, he's Mike North and I guess when you're a personality of his stature, anything goes.

Local media blog reports North's last day will be Aug. 27th. If you read the piece the ratings were a spectacular failure. Apparently while CBS2 was already in last place, felt they had nothing to lose by trying Monsters in that slot, they found out that Monsters was even worse for them. In some demos Monsters generated 0.1 rating, "Local channels showing reruns of old television shows or even repeats of infomercials sometimes made higher ratings during that same time slot." So Monsters was a disaster for all involved not named Mike North. Yet somehow he managed to squeeze 6 months of good paper from a traditional news outlet. This guy just might have the gift of gab after all....
