In other cubs news, Bob Howry was released so that's some good news.

That 8th inning was unbelievable. Brenly called it a feeding frenzy. 12 runs on 13 hits and every one was an absolute rocket and it was all with 2 outs. It's hard to believe they weren't tipping their pitches or something because they were pitching batting practice that inning. I wanted to go to sleep but it was hit after hit after hit and I had to see when it would finally end.

That inning was unlike any I have ever seen. Marshall has been solid all year, Kashner lately has been a bag of suck and what is left to say about Schlitter...

i left right after that inning and am pissed i missed it...i actually heard the entire inning though on the radio with pat and otto

Could u imagine Santo during that inning if he was there? Pat Hughes would have retired on the spot because the negativity woulda wore on him

Pat actually help up well during that inning because Santo wasnt there to moan and groan after every pitch...he didnt have the trademark "Disappointing inflection in his voice so as to appease Ron", it was actually refreshing...he just called the inning more or less as he saw it

Another start where Silva doesn't finish the 1st inning. It's time to just sit him. He is either bad or he gets hurt.

I would be SCREAMING at Fowler... if I were a Rockies fan.
Bad.
If you missed it, Baker hit one back to the box that got a piece of De La Rosa (he can hit lefties  ) and dribbled into shallow left center and Fowler watched it allowing Baker to get to second.
And DeWitt drives him in with a twobagger.

So Dewitt is on 2nd with no outs, cubs down 1 in the second. And the next three guys can't advance him.
three foul bunts.
an infield popup.
a ground out.

Well, on pace for another terrific outing by the gentleman Cubs.
