Very interesting...When the Bulls were winning NBA Championships back in the '90s, playing on Christmas Day was as much to look forward to as opening Christmas gifts. The official NBA 2010-11 schedule will be released tomorrow, and it'll be interesting to see what time they'll tip off the game, let alone which channel carries the game. I know that in recent years, ESPN has carried the early game with ABC Sports (ESPN on ABC) carrying 2 other games and ESPN airing 1 more game on Christmas night. Something tells me Benedict LeBron and the Heat will also be on the Christmas Day docket vs. Kobe and the 2-time NBA Champion Lakers in Los Angeles in one of the ABC games...

Will this game be promoted as "Boozer vs. the Losers"?

2 major market teams...one of which should be very good and the other better than they've been in years...so....

a lot?

It will be the 1st game of at least triple-header, with the Lakers/Heat featured in the primetime game.

Just my guess.

Guys, the way they've done this in recent years, ESPN gets a game around 11a, ABC Sports then carries the games at about 1:30p and 4p, and ESPN carrying the night cap late at night.

That being said, I think Bulls/Knicks will be the early game on ESPN that afternoon or the first game of the ABC twinbill. It's believed that ABC will have the game between LeBron James & the Heat and Kobe Bryant's back-to-back NBA Champion Lakers in Los Angeles around 4p or so Christmas Day. NBA TV, DIRECTV 216, features the marquee matchups that will be seen nationally on ESPN, ABC, TNT & NBA TV, as well as ESPN Radio, come 6p this eve.

The Boston Globe reports that the Heat & Kevin Garnett's Celtics tip off the 2010 NBA regular season on TNT October 27th in Boston.

One week from today, the NBA reveals the rest of the 2010-11 schedule, TM. As it stands now, the Bulls have at least 4 games on national TV. They'll visit Oklahoma City October 27th & New York Christmas Day, both games on ESPNHD. It's also been revealed that the Bulls will host the Blazers November 1st at United Center & will pay Memphis a visit on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day January 17th. That home game vs. Portland, according to Bulls.com, might not necessarily be the home opener of the Tom Thibodeau Era.
