After the new fantasy camp,...then the cubs cruise,....THEN the convention. In between there are some Cubs care events where the players wives collect canned goods for Ozzie's Latin players.

Geez....know your Cubs Baseball would ya ?? :P

for what? last time there was fireworks, we suspended our own player, called him crazy, and now are grounding him instead of letting him pitch

great minds think alike...i pay attention to this stuff too

actually, overall, he didnt say much

when the Brewers scored their 10th run, he sighed a couple times, then said "this is atrocious!"
the tone of his voice was hilarious

but after that he didnt really capsize at all, even as the Brewers were scoring more runs...Len more or less was just calling it stoically and Brenly was pretty even keel i think

i kinda wondered what Ron's reactions were...the guy was lucky to duck the 17-2 game last week, but he was served up an 18-1 game instead

Maybe for the first time ever with any team, I hope they get blown out every game from here on out. Anything to spark complete regime change. The worst thing that can happen to this team is a really strong August/September out of these veterans that might convince Tom R to keep the staff/management in place

Len had a gem in the 8th of this shitathon...
Fontenot basically hit a popup to center field...

"Oh Fontenot got AH HOLD OF ONE! And caught for the 2nd out"

It was 40 feet shy of the warning track.

So through 3 innings Diamond has struck out 7, but also thrown 70 pitches and walked 3 while giving up 2 runs on 3 hits. The 7 k's are promising and I am hoping the slight lack of control is due to some nerves. He has to be pretty amped being a former can't miss prospect with danks and volquez only to see them develop in to front of the rotation mlb pitchers while he has had some injuries and hasn't been able to crack a big league roster until tonight.

Marlon Byrd literally has warning track power. Guess he makes up for it in other areas, but I thought he was a home run hitter.

Castro runs into an out and Lee strikes out to end the game. How appropriate.

Diamond showed some promise with the strikeouts if he could just manage his
game a bit better. He had some control issues but also had some filthy stuff
at times. 10 K's for the game isn't too bad. Cubs couldn't give him any help
offensively. My parents are in town this week and like to watch the Cub so
I was kinda forced to watch this. Thankfully they play during the day today.

Another day another ass kicking? It remains to be seen, but I question lou as to why he can give Aram a day off and not the guy on the opposite end of the infield? Nady needs to play dammit. :x His skills need to be showcased in order to facilitate a favorable waiver claim/deal.

Why is the 2nd leader hr (he would probably be leading if he had as many ab's as soriano) guy batting lead off still? Dammit lou, there is no reason you batting order doesn't look something like this right now.

1.Castro
2.Dewitt
3.Colvin or Byrd
4.Byrd or Colvin
5.Aram
6.Soriano
7.Lee
8.Soto
9.Pitcher

I was just looking through the stats and one would think the team leader in K's would be Soriano. That is not at all the case, though he is only a hand full off.
