We could have signed someone who sucks less, but whatever.

Bulls are gonna have problems scoring the basketball this year.

You're right, it would be really hard to find players better than Keith Bogans. Roger Mason Jr was better and he took 1.4 for a year. If they actually had a chance at Rudy, despite Bernstien's whining, he would have been better.

I am not saying there aren't any players better than Bogans  I am just asking with who is left who would you have signed in place of Bogans? Mason is already gone. Rudy is a trade, not a signing and if you had read the article posted you would see that a trade for Rudy or another player is still possible. At this point right now who would you sign that is better than Bogans?

Was it impossible for the Bulls to sign someone before they signed Bogans?

They have signed people before Bogans--Brewer, Korver, Boozer, Kurt Thomas, traded for Watson

So basically you have no answer, you just want to bitch about something. Got it.

Just wanting to bitch about something? Amusing coming from you. You asked who the Bulls could have signed instead and I said the Bulls conceivably could have signed Mason 2 days ago before he signed with the Knicks. I don't see what the big debate is.

The entire Bulls season hinges on Rose's ability to take the step to the next level.

While they may still struggle to score at some points, I think they are going to be better offensively than this last year. We now have a low post option in Boozer who will help Rose out a lot. We have a legit 3 pt threat in Korver, that will help out Rose and Deng. Reports are that Rose has developed a 3 pt shot, if that is true that will be great. And on top of it all we actually have a coach that knows how to draw up a play and get the ball to the right people.

I am still heartbroken that Shamus is still a free agent and resorting to Europe instead of being a Bull.

I agree with everything else except that. We haven't found out if that is or isn't true. He could be Jim Cleamons.

True, but I cannot fathom a way that he is as bad as Vinny. So either way they should be better in that position as well.

I don't know what's so bad about Bogans....he's not horrible for a end of the bench guy. He's a little bigger/stronger and can defend 2's and has a decent shot. I might rather have had Mason, but at this point it's splitting hairs

Plus Pete Myers got axed so we're probably screwed.

But I didn't recall Cleamons being THE top assistant in the NBA when he got the Dallas job (was he even top three at that point?). Thibodeau was definitely in the top three over the past three years. We should have had him three years ago but Paxson was in a hurry to hire someone who had no other job offers.

Thibodeaux was really highly regarded but we know nothing of him as an offensive coach. With that being said, I dont think the Bulls will be as bad offensively as some here are making it out to be. I agree with Phil McCracken that this whole season depends on if Rose wants to leap out of the 2nd tier PG's into the 1st tier.

Since I'm usually pretty inept at BB analysis I'm thrilled to bump this. Bogans sucks.

The Knicks record is a little deceiving so far. They have been fattening up on bottom feeders and really have not played anyone tough yet.

Their next 7 games are against:
Boston
Miami
Cleveland
OKC
Chicago
Miami
Orlando

I think they are going to come back down to earth.

The Knicks have done this before...start off well and plummet. I'd hope you aren't suggesting you believe the Knicks are better than the Bulls. I'd like to let the 82 games play out, and then see how good the 2010-11 team was. I'm looking at a 100% chance that they finish below the Bulls in the standings.

And just to play another point since you bring it up...they're probably 16-9 because Mason is on the bench.

I'm sure the Bulls are better than the Knicks, but it's not like the Knicks are Clippers bad where you can say haha Mason doesn't can't get off the bench for a .200 club, they are what their record says they are, 16-9.

Yes, and that was one of their worst games of the season so far. Knicks also shot about 75% from behind the arc that game. They could of beat just about anyone that night. The Bulls only ended up losing by 8 that night. That game shouldn't really bother anybody. A team will only shoot that well a couple times a year. I'm really looking forward to the Christmas day matchup coming up. It will probably be a good indicator of who is for real, and who is a 6th,7th, or 8th playoff team in the east.

NY has been a little soft. Knicks schedule from Daily Herald blog...

In the next 10 days, New York has home games against Boston, Miami and Oklahoma City. After hosting the Bulls on Christmas Day, the Knicks travel south to face Orlando and Miami.

That game you reference Douchebag is when Thibs pulled the starters midway through the 4th. They played the Celtics in Boston the following day.
