Weak sauce, Frank, but that's to be expected - enjoy the fact that your bandwagon is full this season, it'll change as soon as your team stumbles. The only thing that's different with that is I won't be jerking myself off to your team's failure like you most assuredly would if it was the Cub that failed. I don't give a shit because it's not worth my time and energy. Get a life, move on...

See, so you aren't a fan! Show your ticket stubs to OrrRod and then you can say you are a fan!

I haven't done that either. I just focus on my crappy fantasy baseball team. Nice to see D Lee suck in the fake baseball world, too.

My blind loyalty for the Cubs turned to anger after I realized it doesn't matter who makes the decisions. The end result will always be Lucy pulling the football away, and I got sick of being Charlie Brown. It only took about 35 years. Better late than never.

With my favorite team finally winning the Stanley Cup, you would think I might hold out hope for my baseball team. No thanks.

Obviously you don't have the testicular fortitude to go about this without having someone else get your back, which I find absolutely hilarious. Anyway, what you have referenced just has to do with a perceived lack of a representative fanbase, not just by myself, but throughout Chicago, and the entire region. You can deny it all you want, or show your penis envy and just point out the Cubs failure to feel better about yourself (I have no idea how this empowers you, but, please, have at it). As profoundly enlightening as this little pissing contest is shaping up to be  it's tired and really fucking dumb. I'll do my best to entertain the masses with this little exchange throughout the day in order for you to get your jollies, but I may have work to do unlike you (?)

2 division titles is poorly constructed?

It's just one division title in the last three years, Doofus. What do the Cub have to show for those division titles, huh?

You are daft.

2 div. titles in the last 4 years, 3 winning records...now answer the question, how is that poorly constructed?

He's not really picking on you Hack. This is a cross thread argument he's having with JORR. Check out the Afternoon Saloon section for details.

So you ARE a mult. This pretty much proves it.
Does the Cubs .424 winning percentage sound like a well constructed team?
Did their 0-6 playoff run come from a well constructed team?

Zero playoff wins and a team that is currently sitting in 5th place and is the 3rd WORST team in the shitty national league. But it's all John McDonough's fault!

Well its one thing to be optimistic. Its another thing to say that Theriot is on par with Dustin Pedroia, and that the 2010 Cubs are NOT poorly conscructed.

I was just reading the yahoo weekly team recaps and I found this wonderful quote from lou in response to a question about playing Colvin at 1st a few times.

Piniella seemed to reject any notion of using rookie outfielder Tyler Colvin(notes) at first.

“Look, we’ve got (Xavier) Nady, and we’ve got Derrek Lee at first,” Piniella said. “Look, with Derrek, I can give him a breather from time to time, but he’s going to be playing first base.”

I hope the media keeps hammering him over this because the "I've got a tremendous amount of respect for him and what he as done..............." broken record response from him does not cut it. I would also like to hear him asked why in the hell he is still in the 3 hole and to justify his reasoning with some kind of factual and relevant data.

0-6 in the playoffs and .424 this year outweighs the last 3 years?

I guess we can say the St Louis Cardinals and Anaheim Angels are poorly constructed too since they havent done much in the playoffs since 2007

The Angels have made the playoffs consistently for the better part of the 2000s (including a WS title in 2002), and the Cardinals won it all in 2006.

Try again, Susie.

funny, although I hate Hendry and Lou both

Im not apologetic for this team...but it's just a game...who cares about a bad year...give it a rest and enjoy the damn game for what it is...funny how noone was crying and everyone was appluading when we were "spending money" a few years ago, while I hated it...now everyone wants to get rid of those same players...its obvious when people change their tune they know nothing about GM'ing since they have no vision of their own of what the team should do, instead they just react to win-loss record

For me, this is it. I was looking forward to this season because Cub picked up a guy named Mel Rojas from Montreal to close. Remember him? Talk about great ball of suck. I liked Mulholland and Trachsel. Those first 14 games were absolutely brutal and it never got better. I believe this was the year that spot starter Amaury Telemaco began crying in like the 5th inning of a game while on the mound. Summed up the year nicely.

Still trying to figure out which mult is worse whistler or Carrie.....whistler types in hard to read syntax and has some of the worst baseball thoughts of all time.....while Carrie is a dude pretending to be a chick on a sports message board and is all things Milwaukee Bucks. Too close to call at the moment.
