Lou has left the building....again....but he will be back. Apparently his mom is having some health issues and he is going to be with her. If I were him I would just stay in Tampa.

It should be about putting the best lineup out there, not making a declining veteran comfortable. Lou has put out a ton of different lineups this year and the one move he should make, he won't. yea, fair enough

Hendry does have a tendency to show loyalty to older players, and he has been influenced by Lou in that regard...its an old-school mentality...the big-boys-club mentality...the Yankees mentality

I'd agree with u 100% if we were talking about Jacque Jones and other average re-treads we used to sign, but Lee still hasnt completely lost me yet...he's been too good for too long to just demote him...but ur probly right, now is as good a time as ever to drop him to 6th...Byrd definitely makes a decent #3 hitter i think

I don't believe the Yankees would not have a .240 hitter in the #3 hole all year.

Of course, they have a lot of other choices, more than the Cubs.

I don't want to harp on Lee too much, he is just one of many underacheiving Cubs. But the #3 slot in the order is not Lee's birthright.

I might as well jump on the Reds bandwagon until the cubs get rid of Lee and the rest of the shit on this team. I actually have a lot of Reds gear and am somehow in their home market even though I am a good 4-5 hrs away.

Without looking at the boxscore, that can't be right. Rolen, Cabrera, Phillips, Hernandez are veterans making near All-Star, or at least starter level money. Votto, Stubbs, Bruce etc are young players but I think you are using some faultily calculated hyperbole here.

No, I think he's right...yesterday's starting lineup was full of "who the hell is that" guys...most making somewhere around 400 to 500 k...

...hell, I even saw one guy who's salary on espn.com was listed at 0.

Votto is probably not even making 750 k yet, same with stubbs and janish. Hannigan was catching, gomes and heisey in the of, cairo at 3rd and the only one i can't recall is 2nd. Oh, and wood is a rook making the mlb minimum. Those other guys had the day off.

Dickerson is a huge talent that has kept several doctors in business all on his own. There are probably numerous NFL lineman with 10 plus years of service that have had less injuries than him. Its not like he has nagging pulls and stuff, its the real deal breaks and dislocations and all that fun stuff. He has great range in the OF, excellent speed, raw power, but can't ever put it together and build on it because there is always a major injury.
