mid january at that. and saturday night prime time. i think its pretty clear there is a new rivalry in the nba... well see how far matured the bulls are by then, and just how good miami is, but either way i think its safe to bet that the chicago/miami matchups will be some of the most bitter in the league.

Is he? if that's true, then he is truly an idiot. Trash talking teams that are probably going to dominate your squad is just silly. Win something first, and then you can trash talk. The Cleveland stuff last season was funny, but it just looks stupid when you lose the series in 5 games.

After carefully looking over the schedule, I do have a question.

Who can set the court on fire?

This is an extremely rough patch in the schedule. There is only 1 winnable game on the circus trip (Sacramento), and the rest will be extremely tough. When they get done with the circus trip there is another rough stretch of games (except for Cleveland). After that they get about a months worth of Eastern Conference garbage. Hopefully they can get through the first 5-6 weeks of the season at .500 and then fatten up on the scrubs they play later.

Green games are all winnable - you're that worried about aging San Antonio and a depleted Phoenix squad? Sure the circus trip is long and against the western conference - but if last year is any indication that doesn't mean that this team can't perservere through it. Depending on the health of Yao Ming - the Houston game should be winnable as well, just slightly more debatable than the other 3.

Or I may be viewing the season through rose colored glasses :drunken:

San Antonio is gonna be the 2 or 3 seed out west. Idk how winnable that game is. Dallas is an easier contest for the Bulls. Chicago could even drop that game to Sac if they get fatigued by the end of the trip traveling from Denver to Sac.

I hope they dont suck on the circus fiasco like they usually do. Bulls havent gotten to .500 on that trip since Mjeff left tho.

I'm not saying this is going to be like circus trips from the previous 10+ seasons, but you have to admit that the schedule handed to them there is tough. I just wouldn't be surprised if they went 1-6 on the trip, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were able to go 4-3 either.

I'm looking forward to the Oklahoma City matchups. The season opener is gonna be fun.

Same here. It would be huge if they can steal the opener in OKC.

They did suck balls on the last circus trip to the tune of 1-6 or so - point taken on that trip in particular. But if you can remember back in January they went 5-2 on a similar western conference road trip that essentially brought them back into playoff contention.

Also - I don't necessarily want to get into analyzing matchups for games in mid November yet - but what if anything has changed since last season about the Spurs? It's just another year older for Duncan as far as I can see - and T Parker isn't holding up that well anymore either. On top of that - we won both match-ups against them last season. It's not as if they're not a threat - I just honestly don't know what they've improved upon.

Um they signed the best foreign big man who they drafted a few years ago, and stole James Anderson in the draft. Also got rid of that fancy pants wearing Richard Jefferson and his slightly ridiculous contract. George Hill will have a bigger role without having check for RJeff clocking him in the shower after every game.

Miss a little, miss a lot I guess.

Im not even a Spurs fan, but they did get better. Duncan is the only guy showing his age on that team. Even so, he's still gonna get around 20 and 10 every night.

Like Ive said before, IMO the West will be Lakers, OKC, and the Spurs. The last 2 are interchangeable, but Ron Artest would have to commit a terrorist act for LALA not to be the 1 seed again.

If you would like to know, the weather in Vegas was much more tolerable than most of the weather we have had over the past 1-2 months. I'll take 100 degree temps anyday over this humid as fuck bullshit.

Ok, NBA season right around the corner and you wanna get hypercritical about some internet name calling?

Pretty sure sexual issues run rampant on this board. Namely, repressed sexual frustration which can be blamed on wife, gf, or your hand. This cant be news to you.

Just so it's clear. I dont really care about gay people one way or the other. I actually think allowing them to get married would help the economy a little bit. More benefits = more spending. Ive had no Gay friends or known gay relatives my whole life. Anyone who would kill a homosexual like the Matt Shepard situation needs the electric chair ASAP.

Hope this clarifies things Bagels.
