My optimism is through the roof on him.

Castro is looking solid. The longer Lou and that other guy are away from the team, the better. My only fear with him was that he would pick up on their different, but still shitty attitudes. The sooner Byrd assumes the leadership role amongst the position players the better. I don't know how much hr power he will end up having, but I see him as a doubles machine, just killing the gaps.

And if Welington doesn't do it for you, there is a good chance Darwin Barney will be up 2morrow as Fontenot switched teams and is a giant now.

I think the Cubs will need to move Colvin to 1st in the next year or so. His defense in the outfield is brutal, he can't judge a ball for shit, and last night he even dropped one drifting back.

M. Byrd CF
A. Soriano LF
B. DeWitt 2B
W. Castillo C
T. Gorzelanny P

I will take any lineup that is Lee-less.

This is not starting off well for Gorz.

This could be a long night for the Cub. Gorz doesn't seem to have much.

Welington starting his big league career off right with a double.

Just channel surfed on the Cubs long enough to see Soriano lift a high popup to right that had to take 10 sec to come down and drop between the right fielder, 1B and 2B. The multi-millionaire piece of shit is standing on 1B...cant even run it out. Of course, the next batter gets a hit but asswipe is just on first and cant score...he ends up dying at 2B. This is just another reason why this team is suckass....suffice to say, the channel surfing is continuing.

At least the team has looked remotely interested this series.

Season is over. Might as well not even bother taking the field for the rest of the year. John Grabow is out for the year after tearing his MCL in a rehab stint. I don't even know what to say.

Well so much for being competitive. I am going to attribute this to the recently released piece of information that Lee will be returning tomorrow. As soon as this news made it to the dugout numerous towels were thrown in.
