Yeah, NBA season is right around the corner so I figured I'll bring out all the homophobic slurs. I'm not sure how I'm being hypocritical, I've never called someone a name like you have in this thread and I challenge you to find a post where I did. Sure, of course people talk shit here- it's the internet. But I think that can be accomplished without using racial slurs or homophobic slurs or attacking other people's wives. But I don't know, that's just me.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Seriously.

Just so it's clear. I dont really care about gay people one way or the other. I actually think allowing them to get married would help the economy a little bit. More benefits = more spending. Ive had no Gay friends or known gay relatives my whole life. Anyone who would kill a homosexual like the Matt Shepard situation needs the electric chair ASAP.

Hope this clarifies things Bagels.

Yeah it does. Thanks.

Wow. Ill just leave you alone until the Hawks start making that push for the 5th seed in the East.

Douchebag always starts unnecessary bullshit. I finish it. Why stick up for that guy? Seriously.

And if you think calling someone a burrito is comparable to a whiteboy walking around dropping N-bombs, then Idk what to say. Cus it's not even close. Gay people are something like 5% of this country. You'll never read or hear me making fun of someone's race, even if Im completely cool with the guy. Actually had a black friend in Gainesville who would be like, "It's ok dude, you can say it". Never did, never will.

So its ok to make gay slurs because they are less of the population than blacks???? Good to know bigotry is on a sliding scale with you.

Explaining logical situations to you seems pretty impossible. How many lynched Gay people have you seen? How many wrongful convictions have you seen because the defendant was gay? Were gay people ever not allowed to vote, or write, or had to be slaves before considered citizens?

So race and homosexuality are one in the same to you? That's just not the way it works.

This is hilarious, I have no idea what's going on in this thread.

DB - I dont think the two stretches you pointed out are as brutal as many thing. This is easily the best Bulls team since 1998 and besides LA I think they will be about as good as any team in the West. I would be upset if they were only .500 after 2 months, not happy. This should be a 55 win team considering the division.

At worse I see them as a top 4 team. I can even make a case for them being the #1 seed in the East.

 Not a very strong case but I see your point. I think they will be slightly worse than Miami, Orlando, and Boston.

I know know if Miami will have a very strong regular season record because of their lack of depth and the "Bullseye" thing we've talked about, but they would be my pre-season pick to win the East without a doubt.

I pencil the Bulls in as either number 2 or 3. They are just as good as Orlando, and can beat Boston on a good night. This Rondo/Rose thing will def heat up this coming season...

Id like to see who isnt picking Miami as the top seed in the East. Prolly Skip Bayless.

So...

East
1. Heat
2. Bulls (Bulls homer pick)
3. Boston
4. Orlando

West
1. Lakers
2. Spurs
3. OKC
4. Nugs

If your "case" doesn't begin with something like "After I arrange to have Lebron's legs broken...", then you've really lost it.

 As FF said it's not a great case. If the Bulls stay healthy they will be better than the Celtics. The Magic didn't get better and Vince just got a year older. It is possible that it will take the Heat a while to gel and it is also possible they may never find the balance that is needed. As good as the Bulls were with MJ Scottie and Grant they didn't finish #1 in the East very often. Those guys game complimented each other too unlike the Heat's big 3. It's more likely the Bulls will finish 2 or 3 but there is a chance they could be #1.

Um, Hov, every year they won a title, except the third one, they finished as the #1 seed.

61, 67, 57, 72, 69, 62 wins.

IIRC the Knicks finished ahead of them twice.

Twice doesnt = Often. Also Idk why you'd include the 94-95 year in your analysis. That's sort of an asterisk season.

Boston should win their division because it sucks, but I dont see them topping 50-52 wins. I see them having a similar season to last year. Let Rondo do alot of the heavy lifting during the season and try to have all their horses come playoff time. If they can do that, they can beat any team in the league in a 7 game series IMO.

I really believe Rondo would have to get a consistent jump shot for that to be possible and even then I think it's a long shot. Those guys are old. Not only will they lose another step but they will also have a lot of injuries. I would be shocked if KG played 55 games or Pierce and Allen played 70.

Pierce will play 70+. As long as KG and Allen are healthy come playoff time it really doesnt matter how many games in January against the Raptors and Clippers they miss. Also Rondo's jumper has improved alot in the past 2-3 years. I dont see a reason it wont continue to improve. I do wonder how losing Thibodeau will effect them, although since it's such a veteren-laden team I think the impact will be minimal.

They'd be defending champs if Perkins didn't miss Game 7. I dont think they are done yet.

Rondo with a consistent jumper is easily the best PG in the NBA?

Did I imagine the playoffs this year where they basically didn't guard Rondo and dared him to shoot a jump shot?

I dont know I'd say easily, but yes I think he would be the best. He's in the discussion right now along with Deron and Paul IMO.

He did terribly against LA shooting the ball but I think he did a great job in the other series compared to two years ago. You dont think his jump shot has improved?

Rondo has to be able to make a free throw too.

That would help but I dont think that alone would prevent him from being the best PG in the league. It doesn't stop Dwight from being the best Center in the league and he shoots alot more FT's and a significantly lower %.

Plus you used to pump up Baron Davis over Chris Paul, so WYC?
