You're really undervaluing Scottie's impact as a player. I've been having this debate about Scottie for many years though. I guess he quietly filled up the stat sheet. Funny thing is if he were selfish and tried to score a couple baskets more each game many would rightfully place him among the all time greats. Because he was more of a team first guy he becomes a Robert Horry type player.

Dominique was clearly better.

No and not even really close IMO. If Pippen took 30 shots a night, he could have put another 8ppg on his average like Dominique had. DW was a black hole with the ball as well.

Moncrief and/or Wilkins could not have played the D on Magic that Pippen did either.

If I was starting a team today with a choice of guys in their primes Pippen comes before Wilkins or McAdoo and Moncrief comes well after that. Moncrief was a very good player but he might not even have been the best player on those Bucks teams that didn't really win anything significant. I thought Marques Johnson was the point forward on those teams.

That's your best argument in his favor right there. The fact that most guys who were as good as he was would have been chafing at taking a backseat to Jordan. He fit in. And that's why I've never blamed him for the 1.8 seconds. Jordan was gone and he thought it was his turn and suddenly it wasn't? I could sympathize.

I'm just guessing that my cursory interest in 90s hoops is probably a little more comprehensive than your absolute passion for it. I mean, you haven't contributed a goddamn thing to the thread except to tell me to "STFU". Go fuck yourself again.

My STFU is a lot smarter than some of the crap you have thrown around in here. Next you are going to try telling us that Jack Sikma was better than Patrick Ewing.

You are a meatball that thinks just because a player played before 1980 that makes them better than anyone else.

Thus, JORR, once more, STFU! Go play tiddlywinks with the old ladies in your nursing home.

Jack Sikma was a great rebounding power forward for the Seattle Supersonics and Milwaukee Bucks but more importantly he had a great Vanilla Afro.

No, you're an idiot that thinks if it happened prior to you it doesn't count. Not an uncommon attitude these days. But one that makes you the moron rather than me. Go ask your nanny to get you another bottle out of the refrigerator.

That's another really good player that it isn't absurd to compare to Scottie. But RFDC has probably only heard of him from that episode of NBA wives he caught on Bravo so he doesn't count.

Can someone point me to the source of this exceptionally vulgar RFDC/JORR feud?

I've been a not-so-diligent CSFMB reader of late.

I'm starting to wonder if you have ever seen a game. One of my friends has a dog named Capone who loves to watch hoops. I'm guessing Capone has better opinions on basketball than you. Can you actually contribute something? No? Okay, keep fucking yourself.

Careful Joe, I'm not sure he played in the '70s.

You know, it's funny you should say that. I've been wondering why no one here ever really challenges you. I mean you're not in any clique. As near as I can tell you're more reviled here than I am. (That's probably only because you've been here longer. I'm sure I'll catch up.) If Darkside, who is the president of the ISOP, made a completely baseless and moronic post stating that "Yankees are synonomous with New York" or some of the other dumbass shit you so authoritatively post, he'd be called out in an instant. If shakes or Seacrest or Elmhurst Steve or I made such a post, we'd be set upon by a pack of dogs. Yet you escape without a peep. I can only surmise that it is because nobody wants to enter the neverending black hole that is arguing with Boilermaker Rick.

Here's the thing, Doc. I'd have no problem arguing this stuff with you. But RFDC clearly doesn't even know who the guys in question are. Yet he's so positive of what he does know.

Nobody takes Rick seriously since he changed his screen name.

He went to Purdue.

It's hilarious that you thought I was talking about you. It was a joke.

However, I'll give you two answers.
1) Don't respond to me. I don't care. There are many people who I enjoy arguing and conversing with on here. If you aren't one of them then do as others have done and ignore it.
2) I do believe that the Yankees are synonymous with New York City. To quote famous New Yorker Jay-Z, "I made the yankee hat more famous than a yankee can".

I can only imagine how many people would be responding to me if I was trying to argue that the NFL isn't the most popular sport in America or that some above average player from the 80s was better than Scottie Pippen.

I know it was a joke. But there couldn't be much debate about which one was supposed to be me. RFDC never posts anything more substantial than "STFU". I thought it was a funny joke too, by the way.

1) I would never make you a foe. I enjoy jousting with you too much, as frustrating as it can be.
2) Well, I've lived in NYC for two summers and I think it's great. I'm not one of these Chicagoans with a Second City complex. But I've often said "Yankees suck" and in no way meant it to mean "New York sucks".
