Oh my God, Lovie. He's a con man and a scam artist you dumb fuck. He told this to Peggy Kusinski in a sit down interview that aired on "Sports Sunday.

What does his support of Joel have to do with his lousy coaching of the Bear?

Nothing. I just thought old people and racist white people from the South fell for his bullshit and give him money. I'm shocked that he brainwashed Lovie. A lot of people have said that Lovie isn't too bright. Well, this doesn't help him fight that notion.

B&B just got material for their show for at least the next week. I'm sure Bernsie is salivating and will have a joyous time mocking this. Also...Terry's guy has known about this for a while.

True. I hope this gets to them. It's pretty big Chicago sports news. Lovie never reveals anything interesting about himself. This is pretty interesting.

Nobody watches NBC 5 so somebody send Bernstein an email. Fewer people were watching tonight cuz Paula was off. I almost didn't watch cuz she wasn't there but the "Lovie interview" tease made me wait for it. You're right. B&B live for mocking stuff like this. They'll have fun.

You have obviously never caught any of his show on TV. There is a nice cross section of American society attending his sermons. This just in; black people also love Jesus. Beardown, sometimes you are a dope.

I was saying that in jest. I caught "60 minutes" doing a piece on him and that was all I needed to realize he was a con man. No. I haven't seen his followers. I stand corrected. I assumed it was racist white people. Sorry.

You needed 60 Minutes to tell you a televangelist was possibly a con man? Like I said, you're a dope.

No. I'm saying that I was introduced to him by that "60 minutes" piece. I hadn't heard of him before I saw it.

Well then, you should stop watching 60 Minutes. Christ, how old are you? I haven't watched 60 Minutes in over twenty years. You need a woman.

Still, his followers have to be mostly from the South - black or white. No way he gets Catholics. He gets people from the "wrong" denominations of Christianity. And the Southern Christians, from the wrong denominations, are the worst.

Wait for it...

So, are you saying Catholics are better than the rest of the Christians? You are a bigot.

No. We have priests touching kids and a Vatican cover up. We've got our own problems. I'm just saying we wouldn't fall for a scam artist like Olsen. It's tough enough to get us to put 5 bucks in the collection basket. You did see my "wink" did you not, Mr. Reason?

No, you surely wouldn't fall for a scam artist....like Olsen? Are you talking about the tight-end? He may be a big hit among certain "so called" celibate members of your chosen faith.
No. nothing about the Catholic faith screams scam to me...

I just think it's mostly Southern Lutherans and Methodists funding Osteen's empire. I don't care enough to do the research, but I'll bet I'm right.

And Southern Christians are dangerous. They're just as bad as "Illinois Nazis"!!!!

I'm going to bed. I've taught you guys enough today.

Wait for it...

You are so wrong in many respects.
The 60 Minutes piece was merely informational.
It didn'y say anything derrogatory about Osteen at all.
"No way he gets Catholics." No kidding!
Guess what? Catholics go to Catholic churches. Get it?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with Osteen.
His message is excellent and he asks for money far
less than any other televangelist.
The way that you can compare and rank religions as
to how good or evil they can be is very sad, indeed.
It is obvious that you have an inherent fear of religion, sir.

Correct. I used my own skills to detect he was a fraud.

What? Are you saying that none of his followers came from some organized religion? Of course they did. They weren't all atheist. I'm just saying, of those people, few were Catholics. Just a guess on my part. We've got problems, but my point is Catholics don't fall for televangelist bullshit. It's one of the few things we're good at.

Absolutley. You should too. Most wars and evil in the world's history has been done in the name of religion. So thanks. I take that as a compliment. Pardon me if I'm skeptical of some guy named Joel Osteen becoming a millionaire for simply saying that Jesus is good and that you should love everybody. You could just get that from the Bible. You don't need to hear him say it and send him a donation. He preys on the stupid, scared and weak minded. He's rich and most of his followers aren't. I'd be posititve and happy if I were him too. You watch. He'll be exposed for something criminal in the next few years. Look at him for the love of God. How do you trust somebody that looks like him?

I watch Osteen from time to time.

He's an excellent speaker providing a "power of positive thinking"-type message.

If I'm Osteen, I'm wondering if I want the endorsement of a Head Coach that's gonna only win 6 games this year.

You paint with an incredibly broad brush, Rembrandt!
I have never seen so many generalities in one post.
Looks like him? What the hell do you look like? What is the correct "look" a religious or inspirational leader is supposed to have?
"He'll be exposed for something criminal in the next few years."
Why is that? You just can't believe in someone spreading a positive message, can you.
I am sure that you pray to whatever twisted higher power that you believe in that Osteen does something horrible just to prove you right, even if it were to hurt millions of his followers.
You, sir, are a hater of the first order.
You are judging people on income, location, religion, looks - anything you can find.
People that have a sickness like yours scare the hell out of me.

I spent a weekend with Osteen and Al Secord last summer. We did lines of blow off of hooker's asses for 48 straight hours.

Osteen paid for everything. He's no fraud.
