ONLY 33k at the Shrine last night?
That's down from 36k the night before, and down from 39k at the last home game against Cincy.
Lowest of the year.

Ugh
Some people like to go to the game, some don't. More people like Cub, less like sock. That is all.

I wish the Cubs would have shown up. That would have upped the total.

It was the first game Randy Wells has shown up at in a while. Too bad the rest of the team missed it.

i was very pleased with this number...first time Ive seen it that low for a night game in probly 10 years...i want the days of being able to walk up and get a cheap ticket to come back...tired of this sold-out mobfest stuff

hopefully the day games today and tomorrow draw 30,000 or less

even with 30,000, it's still higher than most teams out there, so no worries

and since when is it called a shrine?...its just a ballpark

Then you should be very happy during the Ricketts regime. I don't think you are going to have to worry about sell outs for awhile

no...didnt say that...tell me the figure that represents the line between profitable and unprofitable

besides, aint for me to worry about...it's ricketts job...why should i care?

if the expos survived for so long averaging 6000 a game, we can surely survive with 33,000 a game

get out of ur business mentality...for u its just a game

like i said, i want the simpler days of yesteryear to come back

I know you are a mult but I can't resist....so you want the Cubs to suck like they used to so it will be easier for you to get tickets? If your only requirement for happiness is ease of getting a ticket to the ball game why are you not a Sox fan? Plenty of good seats still available at 35th and Shields.

33264 today.
Even less than the 33654 yesterday.

Must be a lot of losers in the attendance game if they can't just guess sellout numbers.

first, you just owned urself...the White Sox have demonstrated that u can win without the best attendance...
second, I am a Cubs fan since I was a kid...u should know that choosing one or the other is not as logical a decision as u made it out to be...think a little bit...although yes, the idea of walking up to a Sox game and getting a ticket is appealling

now, back to what I was saying...I miss the laid-back years...i want to feel like Im goin to a ballgame, not a spectacle...just the way it was 20 years ago...I want it to feel like ur at a minor-league park...laid-back yet still enjoyable

what a beautiful site it was to see the bleachers half-full yesterday...I loved it...reminded me of the Harry Caray era (and earlier) when someone would hit a homerun and all kinds of people would be flailing in the bleachers, scrambling to get the ball...thats how it should be...not packed like sardines where u have no chance to get a ball

Yeah, much better to have a chance at getting a baseball hit by a 30 year old career minor leaguer rather than have packed stands because the team is good.

did u guys miss the Harry Caray era? are u guys all under 30? amazing how either (a) noone gets it, or (b) how people have forgotten

I'm not interested in going to games anymore this season. I've had tickets offered to me (free) that I have turned down, on several occassions. I still follow the team, as I want to see how guys like Castro and Colvin continue to develop....how young pitchers might fare as they get their chances as well. but I have been to very few games this season, as I expected very little from this years team. Why invest 3 hous ( plus another 2plus hours in transit to/from ) at the park and pay for parking and concessions to watch this mess?? Rather play golf. It will be interesting to see what the Ricketts family does this winter though. They have to be taking notice of the attendance slipping and all the no-shows. If they decide to rebuild with young players and implement a 3-4 year plan, the attendance will take a real dip. Then again, so might the payroll. Big decisions....
