1. I was right about Grossman. He will continue to make the mistakes that will cost the Bears a Championship.

2. Benson was right about himself. He again demonstrated he should be getting more carries. Also, Jones again showed that the pass-blocking excuse is just that: an excuse. Benson was right right to be upset with his situation, even if he was foolish to air that out on the MJH show.

3. Angelo was right to draft Hester. Damn that guy is the shit!

As I said in the marathon thread, Matt can only be proven right. If Rex had an awsome game, he would have said it didn't count because the Vikes suck. The same could be said for the remaining opponents.

If Rex has a bad game, then he feels vidicated....which he obviously does.

Not at all. Look at the Salisbury and Rosenbloom forum, where you can see how I despise the excuse that so-and-so only performed well because the other team was injured, or because the other team sucks. That's nonsense. My reasons for doubting Grossman stem from the fact that his completion percentage sucks, he throws interceptions with regularity, and he has yet to have a 300+ yard game, even when the offense is "clicking." I was reading the Bears v. Vikings thread earlier this week, and several people were saying that Rex would have a bounce-back game; I was genuininely hoping that would be the case. But it wasn't. I was right; Rex will sink this ship.

The crickets that take place of a reply to my Benson comments are telling. I guess the shit-talkers that were out in force after the MJH interview are nowhere to be found, suddenly. The anti-Hester shit talkers are also mysteriously silent.

The sooner you realize I'm right, the less of a fool you'll make yourself. ;)

Not at all. I feel sick to my stomach. Prior to the season, I wanted Griese to start; after the first 5 games, I was more than happy (elated, in fact) to say I was wrong; I remember discussing that "we're sorry Rex" sign that was at one of those games, and saying how perfectly that summed up my position. Sadly, it turns out I wasn't wrong, and Rex has regressed continually ever since, culminating in today's ultimate exhibition in QB futility (have you ever witnessed a sub 5 QB rating for an entire game? I haven't.). Vindicated? Hardly. I had SB hopes for this team, and they're all but dead. It's like Bartman all over again.

Worst of all, it makes Salisbury's "I'd trade Grossman for Romo in a hearbeat" comment rational. Vindicated? Please.

Another troll post. Weak.

Actually, I started this thread half tounge-in-cheek; the idea was to connect several otherwise unrelated stories surrounding the beloved. Interestingly, it's led to several board members displaying their mettle. I guess when you can't make a case to the contrary, it's best to simply say "burrito" or claim this thread is "egotarded." Sorta speaks to the quality of the would-be opposition. Disappointing.

There really isn't even anything to oppose. I'm not quite sure even HOW to oppose views that are simply posted by the author so that he can feel good about actually SEEING his thoughts on a public message board while he desperately tries to prove something to.... someone... for some reason or another by tying in "unrelated stories". They're unrelated, keep them that way, nobody cares.

The fact that someone has the gall to infer that they are "usually right" and then to invite members to "stick around", even after apparently COMPLETELY disregarding the number of posts the invitees have in comparison to the apparent Pissing Party host, simply shows how uninformed and immature a person can be in a faceless medium like a message board. So, if this means that the opposition is lacking in quality, then I'll take it for what it is worth and consider the comment's source.

Maybe Matt was referring more to my complexion than my lack of posting. If that's the case, then I understand completely.

How do you figure? You can troll a thread regardless of how many posts you have, as Stinkfinger proved.

You should have stopped here. It would have been more honest.

Quote:

Feel good? Dude, we all post here for one reason: to read other fans' thoughts, and to post our own thoughts for our entertainment. Well, that's not quite true: you post to troll other people.

Quote:
while he desperately tries to prove something to.... someone...

You're projecting. I'm not trying to prove anything. Keep your nickel psychoanalysis to yourself.

Quote:

You did, as evidenced by your need to troll this thread.

Quote:
The fact that someone has the gall to infer that they are "usually right" and then to invite members to "stick around", even after apparently COMPLETELY disregarding the number of posts the invitees have in comparison to the apparent Pissing Party host,

Wait, wait. So, your argument is that a higher number of posts somehow makes you more apt to be correct? Is that what you're saying?

By the way, Einstein: wasn't your original claim that my post was ironic? Seems your this board's resident Alanis Morisette, and are unaware of the meaning of the word.

Quote:

Not sure what this being a faceless medium has to do with anything. Was this an attempt to tough-talk me? If so, that would be ironic, champ.

In fact, it's downright ironic that you accuse me of being immature when your initial reply to the thread was "burrito." That's just about as immature as it gets. Tell you what: you just keep posting, and I'll keep pointing out the ironic nature of your posts; I'm confident that, eventually, I can teach you the meaning of the word.

Quote:
So, if this means that the opposition is lacking in quality, then I'll take it for what it is worth and consider the comment's source.

No, it means there is no opposition. Trolling does not constitute an argument. I'm not surprised you were unable to grasp that simple point. If you disagree, fine; I was just posting my thoughts. If you don't have anything to say, don't say anything at all. If you troll me, be prepared to have it pointed out.

That's a simple fact of reality. It in no way means that any poster is or isn't a troll. Not sure where the confusion arose here.

Pretty much sums it up right there. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go find more nickels to buy the rights to practice psychoanalysis on my patients (which is something I do everyday IRL). Oh, and possibly a few dimes here and there to buy a dictionary so I can learn what "irony" is... even though I could just go on dictionary.com. Hmmm.... there must be a word for that paradox....

Oh, I'm sure. All Psychologists troll internet boards and use the term "burrito."
