We know this team has fallen apart at the seams! But to let it just keep breaking is so foolish and I think Hendry knows it, but his urge to be able to stay buddies with Lou has overcome him and put his job as GM in the passengers seat.

The bad plays are mounting and nobody gives a shit! Especially the manager 'What r u gonna do?"

Castro, Colvin, Cashner, Coleman, Barney, etc, NONE of them are getting better or correcting anything in games, because nobody cares. Colvin barely plays anymore! In case you have mised it while you are taking an 8 inning nap!

I wouldn't care if they had 'ALL BUNT SUNDAYS" and they bunted every at bat at least once and put the fastest team they had out and worked on stealing bases! Show me something! Anything!

I will admit it, I hope this shit season and shit ending to it, costs Lou a chance at the Hall as a manager, because it is embarassing what he is doing right now! The worst part is that even after his bad call of satying around, he could have walked again to care for his mother, but he still came back!

He is the only manger to lead them to back to back playoff appearances. I think he was surprised by the Chicago fans and media. He lost his fastball but he is still easily a HoF manager. Easily one of the best of this era. Do you believe Torre is better?

BF,
RFDC would call you a meatball. I call you just another Cub fan.
This is disgusting. They lose a new way everyday. I blame Ricketts
for worrying about signs more than his GM. We need a "fresh" look at things from top to bottom.

I am not pissed about losing. I can accept losing and rebuilding, but this is like idiots that 'Rehab" a building and try to keep the fucking drywall (or plaster) on and they think they are saving money, until they realize they need to rip the fucking drywall off to put in new conduit !

Not even solid vets outside of Dempster that are willing to help out and teach by doing the right thing!

and what have the big trades been? Lilly and D Lee? WHICH WE HAD TO PAY THEIR REMAINING SALARIES??????????

This is like me getting a call from Lou Malnatis, asking if I want a Pizza and they are GOING TO PAY FOR IT!

BF, you know I love your fire and passion, but really, forget about this year. It doesn't matter who the manager of this shit pile is. The new manager won't need a "jump start". Wait for the offseason and then I'll jump on the Hendry Hatewagon with you, assuming he is the GM of this team, full stop. It really won't matter who the manager is next year if it's just a team of kids. He'll be a babysitter. We need to know what the plan is, long term. Until we know that, none of this crap means anything.

As a Cub fan,I never accept losing in any form. End of year, team sucks? I don't care,WIN!
Team of rooks & some high-priced yo-yo's? I don't care,WIN!
This shit is very old and I can never accept it!
BUT I too have become complacent, turning my interests toward the bears.
This Cub losing really hurts....It is embarassing.

Even though I wanted to see Bob in the dugout I am now on the Sandberg bandwagon. This team is damn near half of Sandberg's Iowa team right now. Enough key veterans have been dealt that he can effectively coach, teach and manage these younger kids. I have heard alot more positive things about him lately and these kids seem to respect the hell out of his knowledge, coaching and competitive spirit. Lou needs to get the Milton (not bradley) treatment and have his office moved to the scoreboard while Sandberg takes over. It would take him weeks to figure it out and by then another family member would be dying.

right, those are the shitty ones!!! The people that didnt plan to GUT the building and then it looks like shit because they have soffits everywhere.

HOV, I got a really good handle on this one, kinda see it every single day.

Watchign people try to point out the things they think they can save and thus it won't cost them X$ to replace this or that, then at the end, this or that, looks like shit and it cost more to make it look good or fix it up, than it would have been to GUT it.

So if your home was foreclosed and I got it I would have to gut it? I'm going to go out on a limb and guess any work that I need to do would be cosmetic. That's the point I was making. Every project doesn't have to be gutted. If you're saying you would gut your home I may need to come sit in your classroom to learn a few simple things that I thought I knew.

He is right. If you want to renovate something that is a piece of shit correctly then you need to gut everything or else you are going to have one after another visual or functional compromises. Mike Holmes needs to be the team president or at least come and give the entire organization a motivational speech.

Anyone that disagreed with me about this doesn't know shit about sports!

This wasn't about WINS! This about getting worse and thats all that was happening with this team.

Should have been done 2 months ago!

The same can be said of both: just because they managed for years and years, does not necessarily mean they are HOF worthy.

Nice thing is, you can use the same rant for the Bears, too. Another shop needing new management and new players.

Be prepared to root for Somebody Else's team. Just that kind of year

Somebody early in the year said Stan Bowman was the only decent GM in town. You can argue about Kenny, but the rest of the lot sucks.
