The boys were discussing the possibility of Len watching Brenly go surfing, in a way more reminiscent of a Top Gun volleyball game rather than pals discussing their upcoming relaxation plans, the viewer is then met with this exchange:

Len: Well, after what happened to Thom Brennaeman I don't think it's safe for a play-by-play guy to jump in the water .... broke his leg, right?

Bob: Yeah; apparently it was a skimboarding accident.

Len: You originally said it was a waterboarding accident, which had me very concerned.

Bob: Just wishful thinking on my part.

That's pretty funny. Could be Brenly was trying to sneak an a wry comment based on some personal experience (Brennaman is supposedly a Grade A douche), or the comments he made a couple years ago about the Cub having the worst fans in baseball.

I don't think so.....weren't they radio partners in the late 80s/early 90s on WGN radio?
