Have not seen it mentioned anywhere on this tremendous forum, but Laurence "don't call me Larry" Holmes will be filling the void left by the raging asshat Michael North on the last week of Monsters And Money In The Morning. I believe he will be getting a few of his fifteen minutes of fame on MON-WED-THU-FRI of next week.

Here's to hoping that they have some white chick on there with him, nothing better than watching a brother with no game creepily try to come on to women.

With Laurence's vast army of fans and irony-loving detractors, I believe that this final week will provide the show with it's highest ratings ever.

Well, personal finance expert Terry Savage is still there for the last week, while CBS2 has Susan Carlson providing news updates & Mary Kay Kleist delivering the out-the-door weather...Not exactly the America Ferrera-looking Zoraida Sambolin, Paula Faris or Ginger Zee over at NBC5 for LoHo to look over their respective shoulders going to commercial...

I didn't watch any of this mess this morning, but did just peruse the website and found this: http://cbs2chicago.com/video/?id=73646@wbbm.dayport.com

Larry, in small soundbytes anyway, certainly did not come off half as annoying as he does in long form on the radio. Then again, he was filling in for North - and Lord knows there aren't many guys out there that could fill those giardiniera-covered loafers.

Oh, and Larry, great use of the word TRAVESTY (in reference to what happened with that double header starting at 6pm Saturday in KC). Hawk called, he wants his hyperbole back.

He was professionally-dressed, so that's something.

I caught the first 10 minutes this morning and LH seemed very subdued.

That show is an even bigger mess with fill-ins though, through no fault of their own, but they basically go to the "expert" to talk for a minute and a half about the subject and then move to the next "expert".

I thought the geniusness was that everybody was going to discuss everything in a nutty free-for-all.

I caught a little bit more of yesterday's show and, in all seriousness, Holmes was pretty good.

He could have used an Affliction t-shirt and I don't know why the blonde chick was there because she'd go 30 minute stretches without saying anything but Holmes was good.

He's an amazing man. I love everything he does.

Don't start. I'm known for my "crazy eyes" at work. You'll get some comic-book justice.

Know that!

Yesterday, I almost went off on this guy who "accidently" stepped on my shoe. The bastard didn't know how lucky he was. Boy, did my mom get an earful later, though...

Poor Gayle is going to be disappointed when he sees Larry:
