Could it be that people spent the money already and why sit at home and eat the tickets?

Tickets. I like tickets too. How do you like your tickets? Do you like 'em regular, creamy, or al dente?

I'm going this weekend because we made plans to do so back in April. The weather will
be nice and I have nothing else to do Saturday afternoon. We didn't want to have my
wife's family have to eat the tickets. We haven't seen their new season ticket seats so
figured we'd go and check them out.

I like my tickets sauteed in a nice garlic butter - it really takes the losing bitterness out of 'em! :eye:

T bone that's the point I'm trying to make.

Show your displeasure maybe by not spending the money you might otherwise on food and such. Eat before you go or after you leave.

But the Cubs already have your ticket money so youre just hurting yourself.

Either you and Whistler need to go to a game together because I think you'll hit it off or Whistler+CubbieGirl=match

Thats right! Show those commie-Rickets bastards! Instead of spending $6 for a hot dog in the park, spend $14 for a hotdog and a beer at a Wrigleyville bar before hand! Thats gettin' him wear it hurts!

Rickets and Tickets rhyme too!

I've shown my displeasure by tuning into all of maybe 3 or 4 games on TV this year.
At the game I will buy my usual couple of beers and try to enjoy myself as much as
I possibly can. I haven't been to a game since they clinched in 2008 and I doubt I
will be back for a while so I am going to have as much fun as I can while there. If
I am going to make the effort to ride the train down for an hour, walk half a mile to the
bus stop, ride the bus for another 30 minutes and then do the same to get home, I'll
be damned if I don't try to enjoy myself.

I'm going next Tuesday night. The last of my season tickets. I sold off all the others back in June or July.

Going just so not to eat this tickets and taking a friend havent seen in a while.

Seats are upper deck behind home plate with a view into the press box / tv & radio booth's / etc.... I want to make a sign and hold it up for all to see essentially saying Year One Sucked !!!

Any other ideas for a good sign to hold up? I'm not a "sign guy" so I wont do it, but its fun to think about.

The person you're going with should hold up a sign that says "I'M WITH STUPID"

They are going to games because they had parents who "advertised" for the Cubs along with "advertising" how to drive a car and "advertising" how to get dressed.

i brought this point up somewhere else

I understand some people dumping their tix, but this many? which means a good amount of tickets were never sold in the first place, and i think we all agree that the Cubs had high enough expectations this year (at least a winning record let's say)...so the conclusion i draw is that even in winning years we don't pre-sell as many tickets as we think we do, at least for games late in the year

of course this was true in the 90s and earlier, but this decade (2001-2010), it always seemed most tickets are sold before april...the above observations lead me to believe that maybe this wasnt the case

if i had tickets i would for sure go...its still a MLB game, nice weather, etc...
