I like what I've seen from Louis and Chris Williams was arguably their best lineman last season. I think going up against Peppers everyday got him thinking too much. When the season starts I think he will be better because of it and won't have the same problems.

Getting 1 offensive starter out of back to back drafts is great. Especially considering you developed from a TE to a G. Either way they draft more than 2 in the last 5 years.

I hope you are right about Williams but he hasn't shown that much so far in his Bears career up to this point. As for what you have seen that you have liked about Louis I haven't seen it yet. I think Louis and Omayale are straight up liabilities at their positions.

Williams was great last year. Of course Louis could end up being bad but I don't expect him to. He will make the biggest impact in the running game with his athleticism. Frankie turnstile was also very good during the preseason but I can't say I believe he will keep that up. He looked great last year in training camp and ended up sucking.

If everyone on the line has looked good this preseason why has Cutler spent so much time on his back so far? Kruetz and Garza? Exotic blitz packages in the preseason? Bears pretending to suck to take other teams by surprise once the real season starts?

The difference is that the 05 Bears were a tad better that the 09 Bears. I suspect that will be the same this year too.
