Can we be Bears fans and NOT worry about something about this team? The kid's missed 3 FG all year and that was a 49 yard attempt. Now that people can't complain about Rex its on to Gould? Please. The fact of the matter is this team is damn good everyone RELAX!

I think Lovie should sit Gould and Griese kick the field goal. Once in HS Griese kicked a 45yarder to win the game. He is money!

Rex may have had a respectable game, but is he showing nerd tendencies or what? What kind of dufus does a live post game interview (with Tafoya) 10 minutes after the game on national TV with his helmet on? A Helmet Head perhaps?

Nerdiness I can take. This performance was good enough to assure he will remain the starter for the rest of the season, almost regardless of his success in the next several games, knowing the coaching staff. He was good enough tonight to lead the Bears to victory over most teams. Let's hope he has regained his confidence, and can continue playing this way.

Good game by Rex. If he can play like that for the rest of the year than no need for Griese. I honestly questioned whether or not he had the attitude to take what the defense gave him. He did that today. The running game really did a good job and Ron Turner really helped Rex out.

If I can make one criticism, his long balls did seem to float. In windy conditions, those will be much harder to control.

All in all, I feel much more confident in Rex because he showed he can play under control. The QB controversy did not end tonight, but it was taken down a few pegs.

One performance does not make me comfortable with Rex, I want to see if he can get some consistency in the next couple of weeks. One of those terrible Rex games could cost the Bears a playoff game and a chance at the Super Bowl.

Rex made good decisions tonight. That is all I wanted to see. He needs to stay within himself and work within the offense. He did that, but I want to see more. The 22 yard scramble was a nice suprise. I want to see another game like this next week.

The defense, however, does concren me. They gave up two long drives and way to many yards. Ian Scott played well for Harris. But the defense needs to tighten up if they plan on advancing in the playoffs.

He needs to do this more often. Not 22 yards, of course, but if the pocket is collapsing and no one's open, take off. He never seemed to do that before tonight, and watching other games around the NFL, he seems to be the exception in that regard. In general, he seems to get 'stuck' in the pocket, and I think that perhaps a few scrambles could help his game.

I look at it optimistically: the secondary is missing a few guys that should be back, and they were going up against an accurate passer with good receivers. They rushed for quite a few yards, but the pass set up the run, IMO. Get Mark Anderson in there more; then the opposing QB wont have a chance to throw. :P
