This has escalated oddly

That said, I need you to find Ken Phelps, whistler.

I know he didn't play for the Cub, but I want you to flex your research muscle.

Donny Most may very well be posting as whistler.

Former Cub legend Rich Hill has resurfaced in the Majors with the Red Sox after a much deserved but unexpected mid-september call up. My only concern is that when he enters the Hall will he be allowed to wear his Cubs cap proudly? Time will only tell.

nice...i believe we gave up on him because he couldnt throw hard

he had a great year, then the next year struggled and we sent him down in the middle of the year and traded him soon after

randy wells, same thing, but he lasted the whole year and will still be given a shot for next year

the difference? Hendry doesnt like soft-tossers...Wells throws harder and has a better sinker/slider

Hill had to rely on an 88 mph fastball and a junk curveball...

Bully Hendry hurting the Cubs once again I also think that the Cubs gave up on another soft tossing lefty Jamie Moyer way too early. I wish that he would come and do play by play for the Cubs and be their 5th starter next year....but starry eyed Hendry wont allow it

That's disappointing. I didn't want to be the one responsible for giving Spada more bad ideas.

Francis Beltran and John Leicester both spent time in the Orioles organization (AAA), yet another example of McPhail taking on ex-Cubs

Leicester eventually pitched a complete game for the Orioles a couple years back

both now are out of the league though
