noone is noticing, but what a joy to watch him pitch on a team where he belongs

his intensity and desire finally match that of the team he is on

and he is delivering...he is the perfect Yankee

setting up Rivera, and can fill in for him when needed as well

Kerry Wood has a 0.39 ERA with the Yankees!

only 1 ER given up in 23 innings...wow!

here are his stats:

http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/players/s ... yerId=3821

let's hope Kerry continues this into the playoffs, shines in the playoffs, and wins a title...I will be rooting for him all the way...that a boy Kerry! show Farnsworth how the Yankees want it done!!

most Yankee games will be televised the rest of the way (MLB network, ESPN, TBS, etc..), so be sure and tune in to watch Kid-K!!

Simulated innings do not count...

Yeah he's done a great job and if he's able to win a ring, I would be happy for him. Too bad it didn't happen here back in 2003 when he was a dominating starter, or in 2008, when he was the Cubs closer. He's been through a lot (injuries) and I hope he can finally be part of a championship and that he plays a significant role in it too.

I don't think its too bad. I think its the Kerry Wood curse. Like the Kenny Lofton curse.

One of the reasons I like him is he's a really good guy too.

Dude

Read Johnny's statement again. All he is saying is Wood is not a perfect Yanker because he's not a complete assbag.

Jesus Christ, does everything need to be explained to you?

What are you, 12?

With all the injuries this Wood has had, it amazes me that he wasn't the first player impaled with a flying broken bat!!!!!!!!!

At least the kid had guts, not like Prior who wouldn't pitch when he was ouchy.

This is the only line that should matter to Cubs fans about the great Kid K

2003 NL NLCS 2 GS 0 - 1 7.30 E.R.A. 12 IP 14 H 10 Runs 10 ER 7 BB 13 K WHIP 1.703.

In other words, he was just as responsible as anyone else on that team for not making the World Series that year.

He sure was great in the 2003 NLDS versus Atlanta to help get them to the NLCS though. I was in Atlanta for game 5 and watched Wood pitch his 2nd great game of that series to clinch it. Unfortunately, his games against the Marlins did not go as well. I hope it goes better this post-season with the Yankees.

I appreciate your great enthusiasm, but let us not go too far overboard.

The bar for perfectly Glorious New York Yankees is set rather high.

That being said, Kid K has certainly been a nice addition!
