Dolphin may be right about this if only because the rest of the NFC seems so weak, not because the Bears are any good. Maybe we can ride Cutler's wave of glory to the point of being downright above average!

Careful midget...almost sounds like youre BoilermakerRicking there. Like you want youre prediction to be true rather than the bears good...

Anyways, as per usual, Dolphin is right on the money

I had them at 0-2 and I think most people had teh Matt Stafford led Lions as better than them

The offense and defense have both looked great at times without ever looking terrible.

We are gonna lose monday though. A Rod dont play.

I don't think I'm Boilermaking it, but I certainly don't agree with your assessment. The porosity of the offensive line is a major concern, as is the lack of a pass rush. Cutler's play so far has concealed many blemishes, but I'm not sure this trend will continue, especially as opposing teams have a chance to analyze the team's offensive tendencies on videotape. I hope I'm wrong, but only time will tell. Right now, though, I'm enjoying Cutler's ability to transcend the mediocrity surrounding him. I'm quite certain BR isn't.

I dont think we disagree though.

They have isssues.

But I think the difference between the expectations of the Bears going in and how theyre playing is greater than any unexpected NFC suckage.

Not sure about that. I expected them to manhandle the Lions, but they should've lost that game. On the other hand, I certainly didn't expect them to beat the Cowboys. For me, then, it's unclear how good the Bears are and how bad the rest of the NFC is.

 I'm enjoying it too. I want the Bears to win and I want every player on the Bears to play well. I hope that Culter becomes a top 5 NFL QB and makes the trade a success. He's 1/8th of the way there this season. I may have been down on Rex Grossman most of the time but I was certainly rooting for him too. In fact, nothing would make me happier to see Cutler find a way to fix the flaws in his game over the long term.

I have often thought that Jay Cutler would have been a great backup to Kyle Orton.
