As long as you know your place, last, in the gas station hierarchy of customers, I have no issue with you donating to the state

I've won 4 out of 5 numbers on Little Lotto twice... playing the same 5 numbers. Then it came up another time (4 out of 5) within a month. I haven't played the lotto in years. Maybe I'll pick up a ticket tonight.

...and yes, I'm an idiot.

What kind of payout is there on matching 4 numbers?

Have you used your winnings for your defense fund in the Erin Andrews case?

You ever take a look at the people who buy Lotto tickets??? They don't have a pot to piss in, are driving a bucket of bolts, & go to the gas station or convenient store to buy a 6 pack of Keystone, pack of smokes, & Lotto tickets.

I'm not sure what the total payout is since you're never the only person to match 4 numbers. It's not much. I got somewhere between $150 - $200.

If I win again, I'll be sure to invest in a new joke for you.

No I didnt.

Your description probably fits a lot of lottery players.

But there are probably some intelligent people who buy them as well. I mean, Good Will Hunting's therapist bought em. And he was smarter than a guy who won the Fields Medal.

I bought some. Could win. Until they draw the numbers I can dream about potentially winning 1.125 million and what I would do with it. For the $5 of disposable income I spent....that will last me longer & cost me less than buying a beer at wrigley where all I can dream about is what it would be like to have GM with a brain, a ballpark/team that didn't have its schedule (night vs day) dictated to them by the neighborhood & city, a manager who would say more than "what are ya gonna do", and so much more.

I don't buy often...only when the pots are bigger.

I play when the pots are big also. So maybe 10 bucks a week is my idiot tax. Shit then I spent a whole months worth at the poker game. Do you guys feel the people that go to the boat are idiots to? If you say lotto players are stupid for gambling then all types of gamblers should be generalized.

I think most of it was jovial chiding, so ease it back a bit.

That said, if you don't understand the massive quantitative difference between house odds at the boat (even full-odds craps) vs the numbers involved in even the Little Lotto (let alone monstrosities like PowerBall), then I would probably find myself wondering how many people help dress, toilet, and feed you in the morning.

I didn't think I got too excited. I am well aware of the odds differential but it's the same concept.

That's an awfully wide-open concept.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is my fave! People who buy the instant win rub off cards!!!!!!

You pay $5.....and lets say you buy a CASINO version and it pays $20 if you get 2 cherries! So that is a 4-1

However, if you look on the back it tells you the odds of getting 3 Cherries and it is actually more like 70-1, thus you should be pai $350.

The difference between the odds and what they pay is astounding.

Drop $2 on 2 quick picks to win $30 mill, I agree WHY NOT.

But we all know who lines up at the Gas and Sip with hundreds of dollars on Fridays behind the 2 inch thick bullet proof glass. They aren't selling hundeds of tickets in the Gold coast
