The Hawks are on that night so we will be watching that game. I dont get the NHL network though. I might be getting it in a week when I upgrade my package so I can get the NFL redzone package.

Ah but thats the beauty of west coast hockey Chris, game wouldn't start till 10 or 10:30, so we could watch both, unless you all want to watch Brazilian bull riding again... 8)

1k at least :D

If your interested: The buy in is $30, rebuys are 15. I provide frozen pizza. Matches Malone will tell me when its about time to put it in the oven. I also supply the coolers and some chips and pretz. I just ask you bring any beer or hard liquor you going to drink, and a chair thats comfortable for you. We will be in the garage smoking cigars and If Darkside would ever bring my plate back I might be able to convince the wife to make cheesecake brownies again.

Not sure what system you get for TV Chris, but during the first week of the season usually the NHL Package is free, so you may actually get every game.

Were you there? Wasn't it 2006 or 2007? My memory sucks. I don't rember meeting a "spanky".

You are mis-reading my post. I stated twice that people should be able to decide who is or is not invited into their home. I was just responding to Chris' agressive tone on this matter from another thread.

Concerning the Rebuys:

We actually have a pretty good set up right now. Its for about the first hour and a half that rebuys are avab. That way nobody is getting busted right away and drove all this way and that big excitement was they got to meet Spanky! :D Also it helps add to the pot. If we have more than 7 players we usually do 60% to the winner 30% to 2nd place and 10% to third.

I have Uverse for my TV Spanky so Ill check on it and see. I also hooked up a small stereo system to help with the sound out there as that TV doesnt kick out the volume like it used to.

I'm touched.

Not sure I can make it cause of the Hawks game, but if I can I'll let you guys know. Believe it or not, in person I'm not quite the monster I appear to be. And I'm happy to play in a friendly home game that isn't serious believe it or not.

I understand the policy reason, but players should just be more careful with how they play early-on, because the rebuy system encourages bullshit early "all-in" plays that one would normally not have the balls (or stupidity) to undertake at that early stage of the game. It also wrecks bluff detection patterns and makes the game more random, in my opinion. If you get away with an "all-in" bluff that early, you could be set for the rest of the game.

Out.

Any chance any of you guys have an extra table that you could bring over? We should have at least 8 guys I would say and my one table isnt large enough. I have the small folding table that we put out there when we have two tables going, so it would need to be larger than that. Anyone?

I might be able to make this if I am being invited back. I have an actual poker table that i can strap to my roof also. Its old but still in good shape. I am leaving for Jamaica that Monday so I don't know if I will have last minute stuff to take care of.

Yeah your invited back. Spanky said he is going to bring an extra card table so we should be good. No need to strap the table to your roof. That would be funny to see though. And what a good way to start your trip to Jamica than cashing in. Cue Free Ajent saying " yeah second place"
