Got tickets for the Thursday show. Not really sure what to expect. Was excited when I got the tickets then forgot about it honestly. Should be interesting if nothing else.

Basically - I'm just not excited for a concert on a Tuesday night. Big day at the office tomorrow so that will be in the back of my mind all show too.

If Waters' voice sounds anything like it did when they did that one off Floyd reunion couple years back, I feel sorry for you. At least Gilmour's chops and voice are still well intact. Waters not so much.

I think Darkside isn't around much because he's out turning tricks raising some dough for this.

Sounded like a good idea at the Superbowl party.... now glad I didn't do it. I would have loved to see them back in the day (along with about 50 other bands from that era.)

huh? Roger's voice has always been crap. He's got the vocal range of a bullfrog. Gilmour's not bad, lost a little but understandable. Roger would have been a out of work street poet without David's musical ability. Then, Dave would have been doing space rock forever without Roger.

I'm glad I went. It was a show that I never would of expected. I was not big into The Wall, never watched the movie, more went because my Dad wanted to go so I was going with my brothers.

I did some reading on the story of the album before I left for the show. Interesting story behind it. Roger did do a lot of singing but also did not sing every song either. It was a a really neat show. Lots of props and much more theatrical then any concert I have even been to. It was more of a 'show' then a concert. Throughout the first side of the album he built a wall in front of where they were playing. The wall being built turned into the screen for the show. The effects on the screen were really cool too. The second side of the album he tore the wall down.

I don't want to give away too much incase anyone decides to go but I would say it's worth seeing.

Pink Floyd and the Grateful Dead are the most overrated bands in history.

Elvis was more an Idol than a musician.

based on ????? Both have been ULTRA successful for DECADES and conitnue to be so today. If you dont like their music or their concerts or whatever that is one thing....but their success is certainly related to their popularity and loyal fanbase(s).

Based on ??? 0 & 2 ? Based on ??? STUPID COACHES !!!! It is a long season and I still have faith they can be a playoff team this year but I agree that the way they have played and how it looks, they were certainly overrated. They play Houston this Sunday at Houston....I think I am going to put a small number on Houston in my confidence pool and if they win...that would put the Cowboys at 0 & 3 going into the Bye Week. OUCH !

Im still trying to figure out why everyone ( at least most other musicians) thinks Bob Dylan is so great.

I believe he is widely praised for his song writing ability and the fact that he has been
able to cross over so many genres and reinvent himself over the years. He has a very
recognizable voice but not one many would consider good.

Bob's a phenomonal songwriter. "Tangled up in Blue" may be one of the great love songs of all time. It's interesting in how he pursues changes in preception in the song.
Chances are someone who says what you said might just not be very familiar with Dylan.

I never really saw it as a love song.

More a "Keep on Truckin" type. The girl seems a detail, while an important one, in the story of his life.

I also believe that people are distracted by his voice. It makes perfect sense, as he has probably the worse singing voice. In fact, I think he sounds just like Tom Petty, or that is to say Tom Petty sounds like Dylan.
I don't know, if he had a great singer singing his tunes you'd probably love them. The actual songwriting is really amazing. There's not many songwriters like this guy. I mean throught history even. His guitar work is marginal and his voice is awful I guess, but if you dig a little deeper and listened...

He could never stop thinking about her and he couldn't love other women, so to me bud, that thar's a love song.
But it's also a keep trucking kind of song.
It's a lot life Forrest Gump though if you think about it really. Read they lyrics and tell me Winston Groom didn't steal some of the part of Jenny from this tune.
