This is getting some good reviews, just curious if anyone here has
seen it yet. I am likely going to plunk down my $9 tomorrow night
to check it out. One of the trailers is comparing it to a cross between
Heat and The Departed. Hmmmm, I find that hard to believe. Heat is
still one of my favorites, but I haven't seen a good bank heist flick for
a while so I'm pretty sure this one will get my money.

This does look good, and may be an option for tomorrow night.

The preview looks intriguing but it feels more like NetFlix than forking over the money to see it in the theatre

I will be at the Improv checking out some hot young female comic. Tickets only cost 3.50 each because I'm on the email list.

Amy Schumer is pretty funny. I remember her on Last Comic Standing a couple of years ago

I will be going to see this next week. Roper is high on this saying it is possibly Afflecks best role ever. I really want to see this one.

That is not really setting the bar very high.

What Douchebag said. Although he was good in the movie about George Reeves. I think it was Hollywoodland

I second as well as the afor mentioned Hollywoodland.
I think I am one of the few people in the world who liked both Reindeer games and Daredevil.

Changing Lanes was okay. Affleck's career has just been overshadowed with all the crap he did for a very long period of time. He does seem to be a great director though. I was impressed with Gone Daddy Gone, and this film looks really good too.

And Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms...

Obviously you guys didn't notice Affleck in Dazed and Confused.

I wonder if he was even acting though, as this is how I'd envision this douche-nozzle to be in real life.

I was thinking more along the lines of a lead-type role. Because if it was just that, his work in Mallrats and Dogma were both outstanding.

Mallrats meh he was okay. Dogma I think is Kevin Smiths best movie even better than Chasing AMy . Affleck was good in all of the movies he has done with Smith even Jersey Girl.

I did not like Chasing Amy. Jersey Girl wasn't bad, Carlin was hilarious in that.

I was in the italian neighborhood in boston when this was filming last year. In fact, I think you can even pull up a brush with fame post about it.

Just caught this movie earlier tonight and it was pretty damn good. Not great but
really good. I don't think it was quite as good as Heat but it did have a lot of similar
concepts. One really good car chase was fun to watch and a lot of shoot em up
scenes. Also it reminded me of Point Break, but not sure if that was just because
they wore funny rubber masks when they did the bank jobs. If you want to see a
solid bank heist flick I would recommend it.

definitely reminds me of PB, t-bone. unfortunately i have very little free time in the next few weeks to catch any movie...the next one on my list as a must see is "the social network" and i'm probably gonna check that out the day after the marathon since i'll have that day off.

but i wanted to see this, and "machete" and i don't know that i'll get to see either.

i kinda miss ole' amc cantera right now. they finally got rid of that lousy pre-movie thing where the dumbass kids pile into the theatre and it COMES ALIVE!!1

Saw this last night. Solid flick. The awkward moment between the 4 robbers in nun masks and the one cop after a big chase was pretty funny.
It was pretty tough to separate Jon Hamm from Donald Draper though

Just got home.Good movie nice thrill ride. Easy to say Afflecks best work in years maybe even better than Phantoms yo. Usual shout out the Mr Renner whom can do no wrong in my book so far.Blake Livley is amazing in her small role, a complete 180 from gossip girl. The chase scenes where well paced and the plot was the usual but not that bad. The only problem I had and with most movies of this ilk is that the police, you know the good guys, come off a total jagoffs.

Loved it up until the end. Affleck, renner and Hamm were great. Good to see the smoke monster from Lost too. Blake lively made the most of minimal screen time too.

Beef Rockmore has a point. The ending seemed to "Hollywood". The only plot hole I found is how the FBI had these guys identified but they still pulled off another bank job.
Nobody tails anybody anymore? Overall,I loved the movie and give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.
I think Affleck is a great actor when given the chance. His best role was in "Hollywoodland",playing actor George Reeves (TV Superman). I also thought DareDevil was a pretty decent Comicbook movie.

Ben Affleck was good playing himself again. As long as this guy does movies in Boston, he will be fine.

However, the real story here is that he is becoming a tremendous director in Hollywood. He should definitely do more directing.
