well for starters he gave up on matt murton way to early....instead of waiting for the chance to bloom into a perennial all star....instead starry eyed hendry decided to sign soriano a player from an organization with no history of winning anything the yankees instead of good homegrown talent....too me that is a man that cuts his share of corners to be sure and don't get me started on the way he handled poor jeff smardzija....his only crime was being unable to locate a major league strike zone....but there is bully hendry pulling the strings and sending him down to the minor leagues.....the only thing that makes it ok is that there he got to learn from a true cub ryne sandberg instead of an outsider like lou pinella....and please do not get me started on the injustice of poor augie ojeda toiling away in arizona.....augie was a true cub who gave everything he could for this franchise....i for one look forward to being able to get a good ticket when they unveil the statue of the little shortstop that could next year because nobody will be at the games....which is just how i like it
