That's funny because you're on my "Do Not Give a Care about your honor" list.

And Kid, if you want to trade cum shots with Pandyman, be my guest.

Totes excited for this as they will also have 2 of the kiddieland rides (sniff sniff) and this place is 15 minutes from the hollar. When Tora was about 2 1/2 she would ask what that place was and I had told her it was a place i went to as a kid and she asked if she can go too. The company that bought it is a good company, have seen them all over the place with petting zoo and animals for parties, they take really good care of the animals and are alot cleaner then some petting zoo's that i have been to. Also too Tora loves pigs and this place promises to have them so it is a definate try out for us

Chances for long-term success are slim. The first summer some people will go there to re-visit the past, but it's not gonna be the same and they are gonna be reminded of why they stopped going (which is why it closed) years ago....the park is in East Dundee, which is between Elgin and Carpentersville. There are just a lot of bad elements in those 2 towns and they tended to filter into places like Santas Village. It didn't "enhance" the experience that gang-bangers and such were affecting the visitors experience at the park. No, I'm not making references as much to black gangs there. It's actually Latin gangs that are the bigger problem in those towns. Latin Kings and Latin Eagles. But the problems are serious. Take lil Susie and Billy for a day at the amusement park....sounds like a good time. Then you get there and remember why you quit going when it was still Santa's Village.

Really?
When was the last time you went to Santa's Village?
I took a friend and her kid there not that long ago and there was nothing like that.
Of course, Santa's Village was a shithole, but it had nothing to do with the unsavory elements of Elgin and Carpentersville. It was more about puke everywhere and animal shit in the petting zoo (which for some reason had deer?????).
But, Steve, isn't it about time to stop acting like a racist jackass?

I couldn't imagine being a black man or a hispanic getting pulled over by officer steve. I guess I wouldn't stand a chance. What a waste of life.

Spring Hill mall has had major problems with the gang-bangers affecting business there to a great degree. The same is true for many other businesses in that area. I used to work with dave Sawyer, who is the Chief of police in Carpentersville these days. I know just what things are like around there. I don't know what you consider "not long ago" but the park has been closed for about 4 1/2 years now.

When you're in your 30's, 4 years ago isn't long ago really. Not sure why you had to be a dick about it, really.
Anyway, this isn't about Spring Hill mall. It was about Santa's Village.
But I have been there plenty of times over the last 10 years or so and I never witnessed gang bangers from Carpentersvill there. I doubt that gang bangers are really interested in Santa's Village. Do they go to ride the teacups? To skate at PolarDome?

Let me break it down for you...a Latin Eagle goes with his gal and a few other couples to a place like Santa's Village to take their kids there for some fun. ...while there, they see a group of Latin Kings with their wives/girlfriends and their children...one thing leads to another and there's a problem. It might only happen once in a while, but it makes the news when it does. It's more about undesireables making the experience less fun and people feeling less safe. None of this has anything to do with being racist. I have no problems with Latinos. I have a problem with gang-bangers of any race. It just happens that in that area the gang problems are predominantly from Latin gangs. When this thing goes under, I'll remind you I said it would.

Could this happen at a Dominicks? Or at Woodfield? Or in pretty much any apartment complex in America?
There you go with Undesireables again. Steve. What is with you and this total utter racism? Is this really you? Is this a work? It must be.
Do you have some news stories of gang warfare at Santa's Village?

Impossible. I have never seen more than 3 people in a Dominicks at one time.

Get a 3rd grader to read my previous post and explain it to you. I stated in the post, that I have no problem with Latinos. I said I only have problems with Latino gang-bangers or gang members of any ethnic background. But you go right back to connecting the statement to some kind of "utter racism". Undesireables come from all races. It just means people that many would rather not be surrounded by. You would fit neatly into that catagory, even though you are white. It has nothing to do with race, though you are trying desperately to make it seem so.

I talked to a 3rd grader about Darko's post, steve. And she asked me, "What if those gang people end up at the mall when I'm there? Will I get shot at the mall too?"

So, explain that one, Officer.

C'Mon STEVE! If you're gonna say it brother say it like you MEAN it!
You're intimating that there's a gang problem at Santa's Village based on it's proximity to predominately Latino areas (C-Ville and Elgin). Can you show me about the gang problem at Santa's Village? I never heard of the turf wars going on there...
Between the two of us, I would agree that one of us is indeed an "undesireable". I can help you figure out which one you are. Have you ever made a friend on the board? Do you ever meet up with Board guys? How many guys here would come by your house if you had a party? Do people tell you that they can't wait to meet up with you here?

No....I'm saying there are gang problems in Carpentersville and Elgin and that the people from those 2 towns on either side of East Dundee, (including the gang-bangers) often venture into East Dundee and West Dundee. Thats unfortunate, because their presence at businesses in those towns is bad for business. I go to remotes for the radio stations on occassion with friends of mine and events like the Fantasy Football convention (which I attended with 4 other friends) that ESPN puts on. If guys on the board go to these things they could find me there. But no, I have not gone to gatherings of people on this board. I maintain a life with my wife and family that I enjoy. We have many close friends and those are the people that I invite to parties we host. Someone like you would not fit in at such gatherings. Maybe if I found my personal life lacking and my friendships unsatisfying, I might consider going to such gatherings. But I like my life just as it is. That you seem to take pride in the fact that someone on a message board is anxious to meet you.... Wow....thats sad.

That you take pride in the fact that an insignificant radio host knows who you are is sad.

Steve, were you always this dense or is your density increasing as your head expands?
So, you come out and say Gang Bangers affected Santa's Village's experience. Can you back that up? Other than saying that it's proximity to predominately latino areas means that theres' "undesireables" afoot? Can you backup that claim that "undesireables" make the experience "less fun and less safe"?
And my point was that I'm hardly an "undesireable" around here, at least not nearly to the extent that you are. It was a poor choice of words to call me that.

I didn't think it was possible to make The Brand a sympathetic character.

Oh well, I'm wrong again.

Stalking much, Seacrest? It's funny, you're following me around like, well like you accused me of in the douchebag thread!

If you think I'm that much fun you should have asked for a picture.
I would have sent you one.

Still a huge fan of your show,

Do you think that Santa's Village closed in the first place because people just decided it just wasn't fun after all?? No...they stopped going because the place was no longer a desireable place to spend a day. Why?...because the makeup of people going there changed. If you built this thing in Humbolt Park, it would have about the same chance for success. It will fail.

Steve, to qoute Mrs. Garrison....Wrong,Try again dumbass.

Why yes Carpentersville is a tad of a shady 'hood, the bangers did not close down santa's village. The owner didn't want to keep up the property as it was getting too costly, a failed ride and lack of putting money into keeping up the park. The make up of the persons patronizing the park did not bring the park down, the make-up needed to keep the park pretty was not kept up and then causing people to not want to go to a place that was not kept properly and could be hazardous.

Before you blame others and spew garbage out of your mouth go and learn you some facts.

GOOD CALL DUDE! i'm going to use my pull over at the CSTRCHOF (chicago sports talk radio caller hall of fame) to put up a little sign that says "your skin must be this hue or lighter to enter the shrine." now, while many of you jealous non-noteworthy haters will claim that this is racism pure and simple i would like to tell you that you're wrong. you see, i used to work with bensenville police chief kosman and while he tells me that "those goddamn spooks and spicks should go back to their ghettos in the city" he also tells me that 98% of gang violence in the metropolitan area is of ethnic-MINORITY gangs and not from more traditional white gangs such as the aryan nation, the hell's angels, or others. statistics aren't racist, last time i checked. we're only going with statistics here. seriously, a really overtanned or sunburned white person would be subject to the same rules as would, say, forest whitaker and the back of his neck.

the problem isn't that we're being racist against minorities, it's that they're minorities, and thus they tend to form gangs in order to feel safer around the majority. i've had so many people come up to me saying "wood dale (you say the whole name like a tribe called quest), i was trying to read the preserved letters from rusty in stickney/jacksonville but then an el rukn with his wife and kids noticed some MS-13 tourists over by the schmootzy e-mail archive and they started getting into an argument.then i looked over and saw a gentlemen with many questionable tattoos looking shady around myron's cubicle and my wife said "honey, these kinds of things don't happen often but when they do they make the news. let's go get a couple of gridiron assassin vanilla puddings on the way out and get the hell out of here"

you see? that family has the kind of experience that won't bring them back to bensenville, and while i'm not trying to be racist here, sometimes you have to call a spade a spade. and what color is a spade? it's not racism, it's just a real-world observation from one of the few posters here who dares to be honest, much like the brand. respect.
