At 10:00 AM CST I tuned into North. He called it the "Mike North NFL Showcase". I thought this was a college show on saturday. I can't describe accurately what he was talking about. I honestly think he just had the paper open in front of him and was reading the lines and the matchups. Then he Hamptoned he way through the matchups, it was honestly unintelligble at times. Then he continued to read from the paper a list of people who were injured. Unreal?

Then he stated he was going to give his power top 5 NFL teams. He listed New Orleans in his top 5, and then basically gave reasons why no other team would be in the top five. He also reminded the listening audience that Matt Schaub is the QB of the Texans, not David Carr. David Carr last played for the Texans in 2006...jesus.

It looks like pappy is going to try to have a gambling/vegas expert persona for this show. That's awful. I don't know if pappy is just to lazy to learn about national issues and have coherent thoughts or he is afraid he can't do it. It was easy in Chicago when you only really have to learn about 5 teams. Now he has to be able to talk about Tennessee Vols football, Jacksonville Jags football, etc.

Ok, it's 10:25, and has been all gambling all the time. He has the Chuck Esposito dude from the Tropicana on right now. Who cares, I know I don't. I would actually keep listening if he were saying funny bad stuff about college football, but this is just two dudes talking about betting. That's super boring unless you are a compulsive gambler.

foxsportsradio is the epitome of professionalism. their website must cost them hundreds of dollars a year, i figure. i love nort's podcast page: when i went to download the first week's shows the downloads would randomly stop at some point, though show up as complete. today i just tried to download the first hour of saturday's show and it showed up and completed as a 1.1mb download.

Now, I'm not very good with math so maybe one of you can help me out. I decided to check-in on Mike's picks for this weekend on his website. I noticed that he's +4470, which surprised me because I remembered a couple weeks ago when I was listening to his weekend show, he was about +3000 or so.

So, I went back to see when he'd done so well. Can somebody take a look at this -

So he starts off today by sucking himself off. His new station is now a historic great and huge station and he is the FIRST non conservative on there talking sports. Follows up with how he transcended a vanilla ass kissing sports town in 92. Then rants about every chicago owner in the last 20 years and how he is huge friends with them all, but then rips every one of them. But this isn't a local show, im national, out of the city, yet I just spent 15 minutes ranting about shit no one outside of the city would have every heard of.

I might have to ptfb on this forever. Its no longer fun bad, its just him blowing himself.
