It was a brutal game to watch. It ranked right up there with the Monday Nighter against the Packers to re-open Soldier Field, and the Sunday Night game in Champaign with Henry Burris

for me it was still the black coach showcase superbowl... it was 14-6 at one point. indy had to punt... we had the ball back with a chance to go up 17-6 or 21-6 and instead cedric benson fumbled. and then it was just all downhill from there.

the game wasn't quite like last night or some of the other mentions here, but like, it was the damned superbowl. and the bears have been mediocre-at-best since.

edit: wasn't there a game against miami on monday night where ricky williams ran for damn near 200 in the rain and i think it was burris back there? that one stands out as well.

I was at that game. It was abysmal. The worst part was hearing that lame Miami Dolphin fight song after every touchdown. It seemed like Ricky scored 7 or 8 times that night... (probably a pot joke in there but I'll leave it to the professionals.)

1. Super Bowl XLI-no one can tell me ANY gme in Chicago in my lifetime has been worse. Yes, they were not the best team, but they had it won and they pissed down their leg---the freaking Super Bowl.
2. 1988 NFC Title Game--the end of Bear weather and the end of the dynasty that never was. After that, you knew that Super Bowl XX was all we were going to get. My first real taste of true Chicago disappointment.
3. 1987 NFL Divisional Playoff-Walter's last game. Still say if there is no strike that team ROLLS to the Super Bowl. Some say 86 was worse, but no one was beating the Giants that year and you dont win a Super Bowl with Doug Flutie.
4. 2005 Playoff game against Carolina.

All are playoff games...last night was bad, MNF loses to Favre were bad....but nothing is worse than losing a playoff game, especially when going into or during, you actually think that Bears should/would win.
