Another example of ZZ's complete idiocy. In his appearance with B&B and Larry the Ho yesterday he put on his "Doctor Z" hat, contemptuously explaining to us ostensible morons in a slow and authoritative voice that a concussion is a "brain bruise."

This is complete nonsense. Bruises are a form of hematoma---or internal bleeding. Concussions are largely a biochemical reaction caused by trauma. It is clearly does NOT involve any hematoma.

I know that ZZ ain't a doctor, but when he says such nonsense with so much faux-authority, he needs to be called out.

Tonight, Larry had Christopher Nowinski on the show who has written a book about concussions. I thought it was funny when he said at the outset, "a concussion IS NOT a brain bruise." It will be interesting to see if Zachy continues this crap and if Larry calls him on it.

If anyone has had a brain bruise, it is old Zachy-boy.

I've heard of brain cramps, but "brain bruises"? I know that Zach Zaidman's the Bears' beat reporter for 670 The SCORE and the sideline reporter on the WBBM 780/Chicago Bears' Radio Network, but I don't think anyone's exactly educated about concussions...
