I've seen a bunch of commercials for this on ESPN lately. I thought it was
a Sim City type game where you could build a college campus and try to
build a powerhouse sports program. After doing some digging around it
appears to be linked to a Facebook account. Since I cancelled my
Facebook account about 6 months ago now, I was interested to find out
whether anyone had signed up for this or tried it on Facebook. Looked
kind of interesting.

can you even truly cancel a facebook account? im pretty sure if you go to delete it they just whisk it out of public view and have it there where if you try to log in to it (in my case, to see if it was gone) it shows up back and in full force. if you keep it deleted for awhile you get e-mails like "YOUR FRIENDS MISS YOU"

i think you have to e-mail admins and bug them 5-6 times to actually DELETE a facebook account. it's hard to do. it's like gmail, they want you to leave digital artifacts in their ownership foreverandeverandeverandever so they can mine your data for marketing research and law enforcement has that access to your veritable digital avatar.

dunno what this ESPN thing is but i bet it's just some version of farmville, just with sports and ESPN promotional tie ins and prolly a bunch of their ads.

Yeah, their version of cancelling it I guess. I fell off all my friends "friend lists" and I don't
believe my profile is available to view publicly. If I decided to go back to it I could reinstate the
profile like nothing ever happened. I actually had to get back into it once to get an e-mail
address and then I "cancelled" it again. Pretty sure you are right about the Farmville stuff,
just curious if anyone had tried it.

This is what I am trying to find out. As long as they have boosters this could be worth trying.
