Let the record show (in burrito Murph voice), I'm not backing Quade. I've just heard he's the guy right now. I would not have an issue if he is the guy the brass decides upon. It was questioned why doesn't he just have the job now. I feel there is an obvious reason, which is they're waiting for someone. I do not think Joe Girardi will come to the Cubs. However, if it's an option, isn't it the requirement for the new owner being shit on to make sure he isn't an option.

Oh, Hendry didn't want to hire him a few years ago. Hendry would change his last name to Kenney or Knobinrickets, just to keep his job. He will work on Girardi's braces if Ricketts asks him to. Again, I feel this is a non-issue. However, I would be upset and spew much of the Cubs shit I see on here if they didn't keep their options open for a while.

The more I think about it, the more I think that Girardi is going to be the guy. Reports were saying that Wedge was going to be hired by the Cubs if Girardi didn't work out, but he decided to take the bird in hand with Seattle.

I mean, there has to have been some backchannel communication between the Cubs and Girardi right? Jim has to be working on more than hope that Joe wants the job? He couldn't possibly be waiting this long for a hail mary with Joe. I refuse to believe he's that inept.
