He is reading an article from Mens Health on rage, which then leads to him telling a story of some guy getting on the elevator today before he got off, so LoHo gave the guy "The shoulder" and "Sent him into the wall of the elevator" and then he says "I was ready for whatever that brought about!!!!"

Laurence, I could pick you up with one hand, bang you into each of those elevator walls, while telling a better story then drop you on your head in hopes of you gaining some sense.

He's an ass hole. He's only nice to important people at the station. His entire thing is telling you how great he is and ripping off Bernstein's radio style, persona and opinions. Anybody that can't see that is an idiot.

From what I read here and heard on "B&B transition", he always mentions his questions at press conferences and tells you how great they are. Then, as Big Fan mentioned, he'll tell you he has a good relationship with Jay Cutler when, as Big Fan also mentioned, Jay Cutler probably doesn't even know who Larry is. It's that type of narcissitic, "I'm so great" bullshit that should put everybody off about him. Not to mention the constant mentions of how he will beat you up and the subtle hints that things are about racism when they're not.

Too many people pick on him. Sometimes for no reason. Some of it he brings on himself but he can't defend it and doesn't have the social skills to understand why.

Well, shoving a guy to the back of the elevator is picking on someone for no reason too. It's also assault and kind of a crime. Then waiting for a fight? What the hell is that? He wouldn't shove Bernstein if he got on the elevator before Larry got off. So it's selective rage I guess.

It didn't happen. They bumped into each other, he got all wide eyed said sorry, the other guy looked at him like he was nuts and Sir Laurence turned it into this interesting story. Move along.

Not to mention inventing feuds with people (Lovie) that don't even know he exists. The guy obviously has an ego problem and it comes through on the radio bigtime.

I was just going by Big Fan's description of the story. I'll move on. I've got a "de ja vu" story for the general section. Who wants to come?

Hey free agent,
Is that real footage? Kind of rough. Do you think that guy with the gun is a tough guy?
A 12 year old girl with a gun can be scary, too.

edit:menace to society (that shit looked real)
trivia:Originally, Tupac Shakur was set to play O-Dog and rapper Spice 1 was set to play Caine, but they were later dropped because Shakur assaulted director Allen Hughes. They were later replaced with Larenz Tate and Tyrin Turner, respectively.[2]

The movie featured realistic dialogue. It was one of the first movies to use the regional slang and dialect of urban blacks in Los Angeles as opposed to the New York black slang and accent that dominated most of urban media.[citation needed] The film has become known for its frequent crude and profane language. For example, the word "fuck" and its derivatives are used 300 times in this 97-minute film (see: List of films that most frequently use the word "fuck"). This was a record up to that time and the film still holds one of the highest fuck per minute rates at 3.07 times per minute.

The movie was also slightly edited for an R-rating; edited scenes included Samuel L. Jackson's character's killing of the man in the poker scene, the shooting of the red-sweatered gang member by A-Wax, and Caine's death at the end. The unrated director's cut was first released on laserdisc, then released on DVD later in 2008. The film's first DVD release was the R-rated version. The director's cut has since been re-rated R for strong bloody violence, drug use and persuasive language (instead of strong violence, drug use and language). Several additional scenes were also added, including a scene showing Caine and O-Dog breaking into a car in the garage, the funeral of Caine's cousin, and a scene after the funeral. But according to the Hughes brothers, a prison riot scene, which was cut by the studio to avoid an NC-17 rating, has not been restored.

I really don't mind him when he is one with someone else , as other hosts tend to check him in place or just flat out make fun of him.

When I get home and start doing some work, BB usually ends and I end up with LoHo on in the background. Then again, he usually does something that makes me turn off the radio too, which is the sign of a "Bad show"

He does tend to overstate his relationships with various players and coaches. He believes issues (Good and bad) exist between him and players.

My fave is when he said "Brian and I usually do a sit down before each season" as if it is on Brian Urlachers calender in the pre-season to 'Sit down with Holmes for interview". Maybe if you ask him 10 times for a moment of his time during training camp and he sees you every single day, while he has nothing but time to kill.....yeah, ......anyone would have a good chance at a sit down

I do.

At the same time, I understand Spaulding's point. The guy is big ball of self doubt that is trying to project a public image of confidence. Since he doesn't actually have confidence he parrots what society presents as a strong black man.

As I've written before, he would be much better off psychologically if he just embraced his inner Les. It is disturbing for a man in his mid 30's to both not know who he is and be afraid of what he might be. I don't think he's gay, but he reminds me of an obviously gay guy, who everyone knows is gay, but remains in the closet and in denial to himself.

I know a guy like that. He was a Division 1 football player so I can understand how conflicted he must be. Still, I think most of his friends would respect him if he came out and those who didn't aren't worth having as friends. But I don't think he can come out since I don't believe he has admitted it to himself.

This entire segment was extremely cringe-worthy. The Men's Health story was such uncomfortable radio.

Another thing he said that made me feel icky was (paraphrasing), "Call in and be honest with your take. Don't just call in to agree with me," as if everyone is just begging to call in to 670 to agree with Loho.
