Trouble Man is one of my favorite Juggaknots joints. Breezly has one of the illest styles i've ever heard in hip hop. Severely underrated MC. 1st time I heard him was on a mixtape maybe a Ricanstruction mixtape with a few other MC's. I heard him and I was like  there was another dude on the track that was sick too but I never got his name

Mr. Hernandez, thank you for filling in for me this weekend, pa.

October 18, 2010:
Today's selection is from a brother by the name of Black Milk, representing Detroit. I'm predicting that you'll be hearing a lot more about this dude in the near future. This is off his September 2010 release, Album Of The Year. The track is called "Distortion". Not only is the flow sick, but he makes his own beats as well. Take special note of the way he lays the drums down on this one. Very jungle/acid jazzy. Just a nice laid-back groove.

Distortion

Today's selection is from a young man who is just wasting away on Diddy's Bad Boy label. He's as fierce an MC as anyone in the biz, but has only had one commercial release since 2005. His name is Aasim and he is one of the illest out there right now. The track is off his 2007 mixtape The Departed and is entitled "Go". Do yourself a favor and find all his shit. He's awesome.

Go

We're going old school today. This oldie-but-goodie is from Tha Alkoholiks' 1997 album Likwidation. The track is called "All Night". Watch the video for a cameo by Ice-T. And also check out the hottie in the gold dress.

All Night

Today it's all about that Chi-Town flavor.

This one is off Twista's 2004 album, Kamikaze. The track is called "Badunkadunk". Right here we have one of the pioneers of the Midwest style doing what he does best, and most rappers will tell you "twisting" is one of the most difficult rhyme styles to capture (I'm still trying to master it).

Badunkadunk

BTW, expect to hear more Midwest style from me on my upcoming project, Open Book...to be released in 2011. I toyed with it a bit on Journal Entries, but you bitchez are gonna get more Chicago flavor from me in the future.

Board members will get a free copy, but Kamps will have to pay for his.

Man I was never able to master that twista, wesside sniper style. When done right like Twista, Do or Die that shit sounds sick.

I'll take it

UGK f/ Outkast - International Players Anthem

Never really been a Pimp C fan (rest in peace). He's pretty good on this song. Bun B is the shit and, of course, Outkast is just.....sick.

i caught the 12" for $3 at dusty groove... amazingly enough, it was one of those weird days as i had a legendary record pull that day.

i had gotten off at the ashland green line with a bombass 1/2 of a chicken sandwich from oak park and decided to give it to some random homeless dude. i found a one-footed guy sleeping on a bench in the park woke him up and he thought i was goofy or gay or something, but i gave him the sandwich and went and bought him a beverage and then walked down ashland... i happened into the store and came across...

juggaknots clear blue skies LP 4x12" for like $12 (i've seen the CD re-release go for $60+ on e-bay. i caught the cd-rerelease at fat beats in manhattan for roughly the same price in... 08?)

organized konfusion LP white label version (with stray bullet, the instrumental to who stole my last piece of chicken, and some frees) for $8

non-phixion the CIA is trying to kill me 12" for $3

and ummmmm.... shit. what was the other one? oh yeah! illmatic for $8. fucking shit, i've seen the repress of illmatic for $25 at reckless on milwaukee, so catching an original press for $8 with the fold out sheet (which became a poster) is where it's at.

legendary record pull there... maybe helping the homeless does pay off? i didn't plan on this...

You're like the substitute teacher who comes in with a lesson plan for the day at an inner city school and it all goes to hell before you even took it out the briefcase...
