Charliej, Fezzik's totals partner, gave out the Buffalo-Baltimore over 37 on Monday. Looks like he has some followers.

What do you think about Fezzik? I know that he has won the Hilton contest two years in a row. Often, there are stale lines, but it is still an impressive feat. He has many detractors over at the eog.

I know him. He's a nice guy and really smart in a math way. Fezzik is an actuary, a stat geek and an opportunist who can spot a bad number when he sees it. He is not a handicapper and when he tries to be, he doesn't do very well. That's probably why other bettors don't like him, because his record isn't really good on the picks he gives out. But he puts out a lot of sage advice if people would look for it. He's kind of like Phil Steele in that respect...great info, but I have little interest in his picks. You call it picking stale lines, but understanding line value seems to work for that contest more than everybody else's attempts to pick winners.

What most people don't know about Fezzik (because he never talks about it publicly) is that he makes most of his living live betting. The guy has such an educated understanding of value, it's instinctive.
