at that point, Trammell felt hurt and knew he wanted to get out

perhaps that was Hendry's way of letting him know he wanted him fired

Here's the deal. Trammell not being brought back is fine. The guy is just meh. Those Detroit teams he had were awful. I'm sure he was an ok bench coach, but I think it's only right that Quade gets to bring in some of his guys, especially considering his hitting and pitching coaches were already in place.

A bench coach is like Tom Hagen in The Godfather. Has to be someone that the manager can trust, one of "his guys" if you will.

he's not the first guy to ever change teams

i just wanted to shed light on the fact that:

-he was fired, yet it's not being reported that way
-the manner in which Hendry removed him was evidence of his ineptness; instead of telling Trammell in private that he wasnt being considered for the manager, he humiliated him in public...guaranteed that Trammell decided that second he didnt wanna be there anymore...Hendry's "sneaky" way of firing him

If that was one of those I'll come back to the Cubs and you pay me nothing kind of deals, I wouldn't mind that. He pitched pretty well with the Yankees.

I still find it hard to let go of the theory that CGS is Whistler, but I suppose it is true.
