It was pretty decent. Funny to see him exact revenge on all his enemies. Best
part of the episode for me was when the guy gets out of rehab at the beginning
and he makes amends with his sponsor. Although this season hasn't been the best
I will be sad to see this show go away. TV needs more Kenny Powers.

I just discovered this show in the last two weeks and finally got caught up last night. The dwarf guy, Deep Roy, needs to be in more scenes. Very amusing character. I've recommended this show to a few people and they either really fucking hate it or find it hilarious. Second season is a beat weaker than the first but I'm still laughing out loud regularly. The guy who plays Powers, Danny McBride, reminds of the actor who played Farva in Super Troopers.

Nothing funnier than Kenny Powers riding the old school moped with the white suit, finger up and the midgets truck in flames.

Fuck you, fuck you and oh...fuck you!

I'd like to see one more season as well. I just really enjoyed the Kenny Powers
humor over the last 2 episodes. Favorite part of this season finale was when he
was doing coke with his buddy and that blonde bimbo comes up to Kenny and
asks him why he was dressed like Boss Hogg.

yeah i love the references they come up with in this show; best one being the "lost boys" one a few episodes ago.

Hope season 3 brings us the return of Deep Roy's character, the dwarf from the "streets of Bombay." That guy had me laughing like I haven't in awhile from watching something on television. The whole exchange between him and Hector and Kenny and Stevie when they give Powers the phonebook to look for Eduardo Sanchez was classic.

Read a blurb in Entertainment Weekly in which they asked Danny McBride what
the latest was with the series. He promised that this would be the last season
definitely and should air sometime early next year.

Show returns February 19th. At least looks better than last season, potentially anyhow, but this is likely the
last season of this show.

3rd season looks like its going to be a winner. Stevie and his girl make it to Myrtle Beach, Will Ferrell's character is there as well.

HBO cranking out some good shows in the comign months!

i'm hoping he sticks to his guns about the 3 seasons thing. i think that's enough for a character like kenny powers. i didn't really care that much for the second season but this one could be awesome.

Killing a television after a few seasons is typically the best thing to do. Leave the audience wanting more and your writing/ideas for your characters don't have a chance to become stale.

...and?

you want me to list the american shows that have lasted 10+ years? the dr. who example is almost like using saturday night live as an example. the cast changes all the time, and there's a different doctor for each series, so "dr. who" is more of a brand name than a show name.

What could be funny in the coming years is if McBride and his friends at Funny or Die have a few short web episodes regarding Kenny Powers.

Kenny Powers at P/T conferences
Kenny Goes into the TV booth during a broadcast

Eastbound and Down would either be really really funny or really boring. I gave up after the first season even though I do like Danny Mcbride.

agreed. may even turn out to be better than the actual show because there'd be more freedom to do stuff. in a formatted sitcom it can get formulaic. i like the idea.

Season premiere was last night and I guess it was alright. This show is so hit or miss. The new
character played by Jason Sudekis (sp) was actually pretty funny hope he sticks around. Kenny
Powers with a little baby may have some funny moments but I hope that isn't a central theme.
That willl get tiring quickly.

Yeah anytime a baby is introduced as part of the plot the show could be in some for some cringe-worthy attempts at humor. I laughed a few times at the premiere. Nothing special.

Agreed.

Too uneven and he is the same character he was in season one or very close to it. Kenny had signs of growth but would go back to the same stupid shit and it got tired really quickly....kinda like a Will Farrell character, which makes sense.

If you took all the funny things from all these seasons you could probably get a really, really solid 1 or 1.5 seasons if that.

Funniest part was when Kenny tells Maria that she looks like a "fucking Mexican Grimace" ( she was wearing
all purple). Other than that it was pretty weak.
