Crap. He's soft. Just like Camps.

I don't ever see you get down low. You shoot outside more than Curtis.

I think we can all agree, in all seriousness, that Bucky Chris was the best thing since sliced bread. I kept waiting for him to miss.

I don't DO defense.

In all seriousness, Spanky's shooting display in the last session was the best I have seen in awhile. Dude didn't miss.

That being said, does anyone have an idea of a gym that would work?

I'll do some looking as well. I was thinking maybe another park district gym but we would likely be in the same boat as we are with Hiawatha.

I know a gym in Joliet that may work (depends on schedule), but CoF said that's too far away.

At least worth checking, IMO. We have a lot of players and no court... so even if a few had to drop off (pussies!) we could still play.

Far away? So is Haiawatha. We can all bite the bullet every once in a while...

Don't worry, you wouldn't be invited anyway.

Through my work we get a free membership at the South Barrington Gym and they have a full court. I'll call them on lunch today to see if it can be reserved and for how much.

How long would be need it? 4 hours? More? Less? Too far?

Does it still have a 9 foot rim on one end?

It keeps getting lower and lower every time you post about it.

It'd probably take me a good 90 minutes or more to get to Joliet but
still would consider attending if we get a gym. I'm not willing to go
any farther than that though.

Hey y'all, if Spanky's gym is accessible we should all just make it official for December 4th. We all want to play, and as far as I know, we all have transportation. Many of you guys have taken longer drives for dumber reasons. It's about sports. It's about camaraderie. It's about fitness. It's about fun. Let's get this done. I'm in.

getting to spanky's gym is actually a lot easier for me than hiawatha.

i don't know that i can "give it my all" as i normally do, though, this time...i'm careful with my leg since i tore a calf muscle a few weeks ago.

where is spanky's gym? i'm a carless wonder, but i live right by the skokie yellow line, along with having pacebus/metra access all right by me... i can pretty much get around anywhere and i definitely want to check this out.

i remember back in the day my hometown, elk grove, had "open gym" at the pavilion (basically their community/rec center with the village gym and etc etc) and it was from like 7-10pm on wednesdays and you'd pay $2 or something if you weren't a gym member... perhaps is there something we can find in a really accessible suburb like that? maybe we roll up 16 deep to an open gym get all ISOP on our teams and start runnin them 4s/5s and hold the court down like we were about to pull a ted kennedy on the beeeeaich?

just an idea. let a man know cuz even tho i had a legendary drinky night last night and i've got 2hrs of sleep in me, i'm dedicating at least 45 mins of work on my mobility/jumpers today... in fact i'm going to find some open gyms and jump at anything above 50 degrees until then because if this is my first chance to meet a lot of y'all boardmembers, i'm not going to look like a bitch on the court. i might have the mantitties flailing in the wind, but that just means my screens will be that much more solid =D

Spanky's gym is on the south side of Joliet, right by the race tracks.

Spanky's gym is also not available on 12/4 - there will be a HUGE pancake breakfast going on in there that day. You are all more than willing to stop by for that if you want.
