Because the NHL is charging $80 for an iPad app so I can watch live games... The subscription itself that I pay to watch these games in the first place is about $170. What does MLB charge for their app to watch live games? $14. Leave it up to the NHL to make it as difficult as possible for people to watch their product. You would think that they would actually want someone to watch a Tampa-carolina game, but I guess not... Thanks for creating one of the most expensive apps in app store history... Douchebags...

I understand he is on the Knicks and therefore they are paying. Clearly the larger point was there is lots of bad contracts in the NBA as well. So much so that the commissioner wants the players to take a 1/3 pay cut...

After the NHL lockout ended, salaries were cut by about 22%. You don't think NHL owners tried to cut salaries by 1/3 or more also?

Look dude, Hockey is an awesome bridge between NFL's season and Baseball before the boring as hell NBA season finally heats up in time for an overextended postseason.

While I consider the constant activity in Hockey to be quite exciting, I wouldn't go so far as to say that I find Football boring at all.
