I don't think this game should cause too much worry. Rose and Noah both played their worst games of the season, and Boozer had never participated in anything so far this season. Of course he is going to look lost when he missed all of training camp, all of preseason, and the start of the season. If the Bulls are going to have success while Boozer becomes comfortable in the offense, Rose and Noah are going to have to continue to play at a high level.

And I'm done with Keith Bogans starting. Vince Carter torched him last night in the first quarter.

and you would start...Korver? Carter would'a torched him too. I could see Brewer, maybe.

I disagree. I think Brewer's underrated.

Noah was dominated on the boards. Stacey and the old white dude were trying to make excuses for him...

Brewer should be starting. Especially if the Bulls are playing someone with a big SG. (Kobe,Wade,Carter,etc...)

right on. I loved Brewer when he was playing with the Jazz.

i know it's just me, but it looks like he's...shrunk. It's weird.

Chris Brusard? is a fool. "LeBron would have been better in New York than Chicago" "Derrick Rose would have the same issues with LeBron that Wade does" "I think I'm going out on a limb here, but Stoudemire is better than Chris Bosh"

Yeah, you're going out on a limb there Chris. You just gave a whole show's worth of WYC.

yes. I have yet to see Brewer handle the ball when he shouldn't, I have yet to see Brewer shoot with a rotation that looks like Mario Ellie and Brewer's got more athleticism than Noah does. Noah is a backup center on a championship team.

I'll wear that. I'm the basketball moron.

I'll put in my own Bernstein. No team will win a NBA championship with Noah as its starting center/PF.

See this is a ridiculous statement to make, because there is a good chance Noah goes his entire career and never wins a title. But that does not determine whether he is a good player and whether he is a valuable player on this Bulls team. You do realize the Bulls won titles with Luc Longley as their starting center? So even if the Bulls and Noah never win a title, your hatred for Noah is ridiculous.

The man is averaging 15 points 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.5 blocks per game right now. He has improved every single year of his career. There is no one in the league who plays any harder every single night.

Yes, his jump shot is the basketball equivalent of one of your calls to B&B, but that does not change how good of a player he has developed into and how valuable he is to this Bulls team.

If I was RFDC I would give this post a:
A. +1
B.
or
C. All of the above

But I'll just do this:

That game was a complete shitfest. I thought that they did an okay job of defending Howard, but Vince Carter just killed us. I'm inclined to be worried about worry about how terrible the Bull looked, but I do have to keep in mind that they looked extremely out of sync, and a huge part of that is obviously because Boozer just needs to get into the mix. It'll just take a bit of time to make this thing work...

If Brad Miller was still the starter here, I'd be a lot higher on the Bulls chances. Luc Longley did the things that Noah cannot-a reliable midrange jumper, good size defensively in the post, and an ability to know his ability level. Noah is an advanced version of Anderson Varejo. If he ever develops an offensive game, I'd be open to change my mind.

Fair enough that he'll likely never win a title. That was a given. I should have left that one be.

Oh lord. Brad Miller is way past his prime and is in no way a better starting C than Noah.

He is averaging 15 points a game. How many points does he need to average before he has an offensive game? Just because his jump shot looks horrible does not mean he does not have an offensive game.

Luc never averaged 15 points a game.

I'll leave it be. I can't convince you because statistically you're correct, and I won't fight statistics 'cause there's no quantifiable stat for "gut feeling". I just don't like the guy, don't like how the offense tends to bog when the ball's in his hands, don't like a big guy standing at the top of the key with his defensive guy deep in the paint daring him to either shoot or try that awkward left-handed dribble Joakim goes to. I appreciate his effort, but then Tyson Chandler tries hard too. I'd take him over Noah.

I didn't like him at all either when they made the draft pick. I thought it was a waste and that he would never develop into a good NBA player. But I was wrong. He has developed into a really solid NBA player and he is extremely valuable to this team. I know it is hard, but sometimes you just have to admit you were wrong.

noah does suck. all those offensive rebounds that lead straight to 2nd chance high percentage shots just kills the bulls. and if you throw it to him down low he usually looks to kick it out to someone open via a surprisingly good passing ability. that is just awful he should jack up a shot everytime- how else is he going to average his expected 25 points a game? the 15 rebounds a game is just an average too, those nights where he grabs 25 and shots for 18 points really puts a strain on players like rose. his attitude is the worst too! he is always positive and always willing to do anything to win. he gets in the head of other teams and doesnt let people push his teamates around- that sort of comradery just doesnt work in leagues like the nba where team chemistry is nearly everything. city of fools, you are brilliant

if you compartmentalize one game and ignore all the bulls progress in the last 2 years then you are completely right.

if you compartmentalize the last two years and ignore the one game yesterday you sound like a complete fool.

i think the bulls play orlando again at the end of january. they will have 4 days to rest before hand, and not coming off a road trip. if noah, booze and rose are healthy at that point, there is just no way they will struggle like they did last night. the bulls laid an egg, it happens. the bears did that a couple times just a month or so ago and everyone has already forgotten about that. the lakers also just lost 4 in row... but nobody is sayng they wont make it deep into the playoffs.

Why do the Magic own the Bulls?

because the bulls right now are capable of guarding the inside or the perimeter but not both at the same time. the magic are one of the few teams that you cant lax defense inside or out.
