1. Ask to buy Sheffield and Waveland from the City. This can help the city raise some money and they do sell streets and alleys often enough, that you should be able to get this done with the Alderman. All we need to do is get rid of the pain in the ass 23 neighbors.

2. Build some offices, bars, etc walkways roooftops, all the crap you wanted in this triangle building.

3. The area that was planned for the triangle area will be used for expansion of the home dugout, stands, etc, Basically pushing everything west, so we can make room for.....

4. THE BEARS!!!!!!!! Yes, Your New Partners in "CHASE" FIELD! There is your other $200+ million!

5. They have about 12 years left on the lease at Soldier's' field and they hate the city even more than you do! And you can walk away from leases early. Just ask Uncle Jerry how he did it in Tucson? At worst you settle on some Present Value $$$$ for maybe 8 years of rent?

I know it's out there! but if you really think about it, it's a great plan.

1. More money and taxes for the City form the sale of the streets. So the Cubs go from asking for $200 million to giving $10 mill and paying more in property taxes and creating much more revenue that is taxed. Get it pre approved and then present it. Are the politicians going to say 'You just can't go and buy streets" Fact is many people do. Much smaller streets and alleys, but developers by them often.

2. Scum sucking Ted Phillips and the McCaskeys have ZERO political ties to anyone in this city or state, this is why they needed Uncle Jerry to get the new stadium. The Bears would love to make this happen. They would love to get into their own stadium and stop fighting with the park district. The costs for them to get into NEW WRIGLEY is nothing compared to a new place!

True, someone needs to design some new seating and get close to 64,000, thats 20,000 more seats. 1 More level? More bleacher seats, field seats and eliminate the endzone of death.

I agree. I don't understand why that hasn't already happened. Is that small bit of car traffic really that vital? You'd still keep it somewhat open but it would give the stadium more room and improve safety as I assume that there are pedestrian related traffic incidents there every year.
