Yes, although I will say that i'm excited to read Bill Simmons's NFL column on Page 2 this Friday. He HATES Manning.

I'm a bit tired of all the QB talk, but I love the matchup, and Brady deserves all the attention he gets that that playoff record.

Yep, say what you will about the national media's verbal fellation of certain QB's, but with Brady it's warranted. He's a miracle worker with the trash he's had to make look competent this year.

The Brady vs. Manning storyline doesn't bother me. What bothers me is how the media will deify the Saints if they go to the Super Bowl with all sorts of fucking tie-ins to hurricane Katrina. They will be christened as "America's Team." That's probably the main reason I want the Bears to win next week. I want to avoid Katrina bullshit.

I believe Greenberg called the Saints "the greatest story in the history of football" or something close to that. It begins...

So if the Bears win on Sunday, they will be the cause of continued hardship, pain, and suffering in the New Orleans region?

So be it.

I don't understand what you want here Coach. It would be ignorant for the media not talk about Manning vs. Brady this week. There is a lot of history between these two teams that I won't even go into since I know it will bore you. Patriots own the COlts and here we are again. They have to talk about it. Will it get out of control? Yea, you're right.

And damn those Bears. You're going to set New Orleans another 15 years back for beating the Saints this Sunday.

How can that be the story when Chicago has spent 135 years trying to rebuild from the Great Chicago Fire?

I think the people of Chicago need this to finally make them feel like this city is back to being a fine city and also back to our rightful place as "Hog Butcher to the World".

It could be the greatest story in the history of earth to paraphrase another great Chicagoan.

Ryan, haven't you figured out the Bears' fan psyche by now? Unless every national media person gives all Bears love all the time, then they are biased againt the Bears. Instead of talking about Brady vs. Manning, they should be talking about how Rex is the greatest QB in the history of football, how Urlacher is the most respected linebacker in history, and how Peanut is all-pro. And how Chicago will blow out New Orleans. Anything less is national media bias.

Personally, I look forward to Manning getting the monkey off his back...and the Pats' defense too.

If he does, and should the Bears prevail as well, think of how boring it'll be: Lovey versus Dungy, and not a mean-spirited quote anywhere to be seen. Poor media will go insane...

Today I heard Joe Theismann say that the Saints were the most consistent team in the NFC this year and that the Saints were playing the best football in the NFL right now.

The Saints must be the best 10-6 team in the history of football.

And they barely won.

FYI - I went to SI.com to check the game recaps, the one given for the Saints game said nothing about the game. It was all about how Roger Goodall visited, loves the atmosphere around NO, and he's happy that the Saints are contributing to "the solution" for making things right in that area.

wretch...

All 4 winners barely won.
