If the Hornets were to move, possible new locations would include Kansas City, Anaheim and Chicago, which is the third-largest market in the country yet has only one NBA franchise.

The Bulls fill the UC on a regular basis, but there's no way this city could support a 2nd team.

I agree. I hope they go to KC.

Reinsdorf and Rocky own the UC.
Where are the Hornets playing, the Sears Center?
The Mike North Rosemont Dump?

Reinsdorf has too much pull to even allow Chicago to be a consideration.

Anaheim is also a bad idea, they already have an NBA franchise in So. Cal. and the Clippers. However, Sand Diego would make more sense if they decided to go to California.

Kansas City makes the most sense, since the nearest NBA franchise plays in Minneapolis.

There's no way I would embrace another Chicago NBA team.

I agree, but Chris Paul playing in Chicago could be fun. And let's not forget this would be the triumphant return of The White Panther.

I remember a few years ago, there was some talk of moving The Grizz to the South Suburbs after Michael Heisley bought them. I remember them talking about building an arena where the Bob Watson Chevrolet was at I-57 and 147th Street (maybe? My southside geography skills are fading on me a little). Ultimately, the idea lost steam pretty quickly.

If they were going to move here (and they won't), the Sears Center might be a good place to start, but ultimately, there aren't enough skyboxes and luxury seats there to support an NBA franchise. But there is a fair amount of businesses out there that could provide some corporate support.

The answer is obvious. They should play in Wrigley Field.

There aren't enough seats in the Sears Center to qualify a college team to play in a major conference, let alone support an NBA team...Rosemont would be a better alternative for an existing structure here.

I'm surprised the NBA couldn't put a team in St. Louis. You would think the NBA could get Nelly to buy a franchise. Rick would sign up for season tickets instantly.

I don't know if Chicago could support a second NBA franchise. The Bulls franchise is pretty storied here...the Michael Jordan and 90's legacy would keep pretty much all fans...maybe years down the road it could compete...but it would be the red-headed step child for the most part. I'd think cities like St Louis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Seattle, Vancouver, or San Diego would all have a better opportunity.

Vancouver and San Diego swung and missed in the recent past.

St Louis, KC, Cincinnati, Seattle (wasn't a fan support issue, it was a stadium issue), and Vegas are all likely spots.

I expect The Grizz, Kings and Hornets to all look for greener pastures in the next few years.

BTW, the Bulls are leading the league in home attendance again this year.

The Bulls sold a ton of season tickets this year which is really inflating the attendace figures. The games I have been to have had a number of empty seats in the 300 level, and the secondary market is flooded with people trying to dump their tickets.

Give Canada $1bn in aid to take the Hornets and 2 Guantanamo prisoners; put them all in Montreal since nobody likes those pricks anyway.

Pippen couldn't even afford to own a hot dog stand right now.

I would support the new Scottie-owned franchise 100%. I would also try my damnedest to get hired in some capacity.

I saw Pip outside Morton's. He was driving a Bentley and his wife was in a sick Porshe.

Fwiw, of course. U have no idea of his financial status.

Known more for his on court defense than his off court business sense, former Chicago Bulls star Scottie Pippen lost $120 million in career earnings due to poor financial planning and bad business ideas. Air Jordan’s sidekick blew $27 million on bad investments and spent $4.3 million on a Gulfstream II corporate jet.
