Hanley's insistence on being the poor man's Terry Boers with the one-liners is consistently annoying. It happens when Mully talks, but those are slightly forgivable since Mully himself is all over the place. But it also happens with guests, and even the beloved Big Doug, where Hanley steps over his comedy bits.

Terry can get away with it because he's funnier, and has actual timing (and despite the stammering Terry has with longer-form thoughts, he's still quick with a joke and Hanley can't get through that without stumbling). Hanley kills whatever flow the conversation has, it's usually over someone else talking who then has to repeat himself.

(I know: cool story, me.)

I recognize what you are saying. He doesn't bother me that much...but sometimes his comments feel forced, he is unsure of himself, then goes on to try and explain the comment or add to it in a weird & unfunny way.

This is why I cant stand him. If you have to explain your joke, then it wasnt funny.

I'm to the point where I think it is time to break them up. I like Mulli but I think Hanley has to go.

This show, for me, has gotten just as bad as Mike and Mike. Now I find myself going back and forth to hear the less annoying sports program. I think I might go to NPR in the morning now. This stuff has become so unlistenable.

I'm just happy I'm in the car when Biggs is on in the morning. Biggs isn't the best, but at least he generally provides some solid Bears thoughts. But yeah its gone downhill pretty sharply in the last few months.

Understatement of the year and damning with feint praise award winner.

Those of you old enough to know the following references, God bless. Brad Biggs makes Eddie Schwartz (RIP, by the way) sound like Chicago Ed was an Olympic athlete. Biggs also sounds like he has Mama Cass's ham sandwich lodged in his throat.

Seriously, Brad, you know the exact date and time of your appearances. How about clearing your goddamn throat before going on the air? Or, how about sitting up? It sounds like you're laying on your back.

Dick Vitale is just as brutal. He and Biggs should have a "Clear Your Throat" Off. Loser has to drink the other one's phlegm.

I cannot stand listening to either one of these guys. Mully and Hanley both try to create jokes and they are terrible. There is no real flow to the show and it seems like every guest on the show tries to be funny as well and surprise, they fail to at comedy as well. The Score needs to dump this show all together. Anytime I try to listen to this show, I just become annoyed at how bad these guys are.

Mulligan has just as much information as Biggs, he just has a lot more time to fill. Hanley on the other hand adds nothing.

I worry about Brad's health. He's far too young to be carrying weight that high.

Its pretty unhealthy to be carrying that sort of weight at any age.

He still does this. Constantly. AM radio sucks in Chicago. I don't really care to listen to the news in the morning, and the music stations really don't play many tunes that early, so I'm forced to listen to this shit.

If ESPN had ANY local alternative, I think the M&H ratings would drop thru the basement.

I know exactly what you mean. He pipes in with dumb and often negative comments that are meant to be funny. They are usually short, annoying, and meaningless.

Hanley's one-liners are awful. For a long time, I've hoped that snipers would shoot both Mulli and Hanley dead, but I couldn't decide which one I hated more. For a while, I thought Hanley, due to the one-liner issue.

But it's definitely Mulli that's more offensive. The thing with the interruptions is this: Hanley simply can't get a word in edge-wise. Mulli loves the sound of his voice like no other. In fact, the entire reason he's always screaming? Because it allows him to do the gutteral sound that's evidently so dear to his black, black heart. That fuck is annoying in basically every possible way. He "I, I, I's" almost as much as Boers, he tells stupid jokes almost as much as Hanley, he yells constantly, invoking his irritating guttural growl every chance he gets, he's an Anglophile who peppers his idiotic thoughts with terms such as "arse," and he has no regard for his partner. The man a fissure on sports radio's anus. He's definitely the worse of the two. Fuck, I actually root for Hanley to interrupt him, stupid joke or no.

Fact of the matter is, you guys don't understand the Mully and Hanley Show.

Fact of the matter is, these guys have been in the newspaper business for 20+ years.

Fact of the matter is, it's one of the top 50 drive time morning shows in the Chicago market!
