Ok, we all know that the MNEN is one of the dumbest schemes concocted by the King of Dumb Schemes. We asked why--after the Webio debacle--would this guy try to start another nonsensical web-based venture?

I am pretty sure I figured it out: it is a total plot by Nigerian email scammers.

You can see how it materialized: North gets BB to teach him about this "electronic telegram thing" and he gets a vintage-1998 aol.com email account. He receives a Nigerian email scam, tells Beeb: "Hey youd never guess wha' happened, Bebe! Dis guy who must be a fan of da show from over in France or something, gots a coupla million he needs to get out of da bank. He aint askin for nothin, other than some help. I now it didnt work out too well with Hernandez, but dis guy is gotta be legit."

After NOrth emails back the scammer, the guy googles North and figures out an easy way to scam some cash out of him. Scammer tells NOrth, " we can get the money out if you have a business. It will help with the authorities. Just set up your web show and give me your bank info and we can wire you the money.

The NIgerian keeps leading NOrth on, telling him to prepare more shows, he's trying to get him on TV in Lagos, but must send some seed money first, etc....

Someone has to clue me in on all the North bashing. I was trying to see what was going on with him, I come here and see that he is very disliked. Is this an official Score site? If so I understand maybe because they let him go a few years ago, but wow.

Did you ever listen in the "Wiseguys" days? I admit that with Anne and Fred he lost some energy and focus, but the Jiggs pairing and especially the WG days were awesome. Steak and BJ Day? I celebrated that a few times thanks to Mikey. Sad to see that he is now off the air and braodcasting from what looks to be Pappyland.

It's not sad that he's off the air though, it's natural evolution. There's a reason why he's gone, and Chet's gone, because they're bad. They became bad. So they are gone and we are entertained by the new guys. Sort of. We pick on them too.
