Jeff Fisher's career with the Titans needs to end.

Sure he's made it to one Super Bowl - but c'mon - 18 years coaching the Oilers/Titans - and TWO appearance in the AFC Championship Game? And only because of some gadget play against the Bills in the playoffs?

17 seasons in the NFL:
3 division titles and made the playoffs 6 times: 5-6 in the playoffs.

Unacceptable - he needs to be fired or released from his contract should he find another head coaching gig.

Who would Adams get to replace him? The 'big names" aren't going there.

Who gives a shit. It's time to make a change. He's only got one year left on his deal, and when he openly defies the owner - that's a problem. (Even if he is right that Vince Young sucks). LOL!

...and who said Bud needs a 'big name' coach to replace Guppy? It isn't like he hires 'big name coaches' as evidenced by his hiring of Jeff Fisher.

Hey, Fisher just covered the bets of Titans fans who bet on their team rather than kicking a FG with over 30 seconds left and then trying an on-side kick and possibly pulling out a victory.

If only there was an existing thread to talk about Jeff Fisher in a logical place on this board.

Sigh. A dreamer can dream though.

It probably is time for a change in scenery for both Fisher and the Titans.
I doubt anyone else would've had more success than he had there. That was a tough division for a while there when Jax had some good teams and then the Colts have been one of top 3 teams in the NFL this whole decade.
He did a decent job there

Jeff Fisher's coaching at the end of last night's Colts/Titans' game left a lot to be desired. He should have gone for the field goal with about 30 seconds left and trailing 30-21. An onside kick probably would have been necessary in that spot and if they recovered, they could have won...Westwood One's Trent Green, who worked the "Thursday Night Football" game with Ian Eagle and Laura Okmin, was very critical of Fisher's poor coaching and mishandling of the clock. They got the touchdown, but it was too little, too late in the Colts' 30-28 road win in Nashville.

With 30 seconds left trailing by six, an onside kick is not probably necessary . . . it's the only option.

NSJ, let me correct myself then. The Titans should've gone for a field goal, and should have gone for the onside kick in that spot. It would've been 30-24 and if Tennessee recovered, they would have had a chance to win the damn game! Woulda, coulda, shoulda...

I've never called any radio station. I've texted votes in for contests a few times to different stations.

I think anyone who watched the end of that game came to the same conclusion, that Fisher should've kicked the FG early and tried an on-side kick, there's like a 1 in 5 to 1 in 4 chance the kicking team recovers.

The Titans place kicker and their QB assumed a FG try was gonna happen right there. I've no idea what reason Fisher gave for pulling the FG unit back. Maybe he really did want to stick it to Indy bettors. Thing is, not only did NOT kicking the FG and thus not trying the on-side cost the Titans the game, it effectively ended their season. As they would've been tied for 2nd in that division with Indy a game behind Jacksonville had they pulled out a win. Now they are probably too far out to have a shot, unless they win out and every other team in their division loses out.

Speaking of radio, doesn't Coach Fisher do a weekly talk radio show down in Nashvegas?

Imagine Love Smith doing a few hours a week on the Score.

Lovie Smith doing his own show on The SCORE? That would be as boring as "Bears All Access" Thursday nights!

I find it interesting that Jeff Fisher went out of his way this morning to mention that Vince Young hasn't even been around the facility lately.

Vince Young may suck as an NFL QB - but it doesn't disguise the fact that you've got the league's best RB, and a guy that can stretch the field, and your offense sucks.

The fourth quarter coaching by Fisher last night was very John Shoop-like.
